19 ASSOCIATE OF ARTS IN CHRISTIAN EDUCATION MINISTRY (66 Semester Hours Required) The associate of arts program allows the student to achieve two goals. First to establish a strong foundation in Bible studies and secondly to establish an academic foundation in a general education environment. During this time of study, the student can decide which study area of concentration they would like to pursue following this degree. Objectives: To provide the beginning college student with an opportunity to receive a strong, balanced academic program which can lead them in a variety of majors. To assist in acquiring a Christian foundation for living founded in Biblical principles. To utilize an interdisciplinary approach allowing the student to receive a general education in foundational subjects. Associates of Arts in Biblical Studies (Prison Inmate Program) The primary focus of this program is to educate and help rehabilitate prison inmates with the word of God. We firm believe in Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any doubleedged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart NIV. If we as Christians can cause a person to study the word of God deeply and sincerely, God himself will rehabilitate them with His word. Inmates that complete this program will be eligible to enter any Bachelors program at MCCM upon their release from prison. The student will receive 66 hours credit if the complete the following courses: 1. Introductory covers salvation, water baptism, prayer and other basic topics. 2. Christian Living deals with discouragement, doubt, guilt, and discipleship. 3. Christian Living II covers tithing, commitment to the local church, love of the brethren, respecting church leadership, obedience and prayer 4. Christian Living III deals with topics which help to inspire continued growth and maturity in Christ; who we are in Christ, our victory, spiritual warfare, the will of God, and others. 5. Christian Living IV covers adding to our faith, growing in Christ and in fellowship with the Lord, and the rewards of spiritual growth 6. Christian Living V deals with maintaining the correct attitude even in the midst of fiery trials; with a view of God s purpose and plan for the believer. 7. The Gospel of the Kingdom an in-depth study with a new perspective of the aspects of the kingdom of God. 8. Stewardship deals with the responsibilities and rewards of the faithful steward; tithing and the giving of offerings, including firstfruits are also covered. 9. Biblical Prayers I & II an in-depth study of spiritual principles relating to effective prayer, with biblical examples. 10. Christian Family I V Five studies on the Christian Family covering the family unit in general, Wives and Mothers, Husband and Fathers, Parents and Leaders, and Sons and Daughters.

20 Associates of Arts in Biblical Studies (Prison Inmate Program) continued: 12. Personal Evangelism a convincing study on the necessity of obeying the call to witness for Christ. 13. Holy Spirit an overall view of the work and ministry of the Holy Spirit in both the Old and New Testaments. 14. Kings I IV 4 separate studies on 1st and 2nd Kings. King IV also covers II Chronicles These are a comprehensive chapter study of the kings of Israel and Judah, beginning after David. 15.Divine Healing thoroughly explains the scriptural basis for divine healing. 16. Biblical Prophecy covers the Rapture, Tribulation, Armageddon, Return of Christ and the Millennium Detailed lessons on every book of the Bible and for some books multiple lessons. All lessons are written with a How does this apply today tone so true application of the Word can be accomplished by the inmate. Heb 13:3 NIV Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering. NOTES
