1 Loving our neighbor as ourselves Wednesday, April 25, 2018 I John 3:11 this, 18 let us 11 this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 18 let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. Gal. 5:25 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Gal. 5:22 1st the, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Rom. 13:10 love is 10 love is the fulfilling of the law. This belief tends to support two opposite powers, instead of urging the claims of Truth alone. The mistake of thinking that error can be real, 30 when it is merely the absence of truth, leads to belief in the superiority of error. SH 205:22-27 When we realize that there is one Mind, the divine law of loving our neighbor as ourselves is unfolded; 24 whereas a belief in many ruling minds hinders man s normal drift towards the one Mind, one God, and leads human thought into opposite channels 27 where selfishness reigns. SH 289:9-13 To suppose that sin, lust, hatred, envy, hypocrisy, revenge, have life abiding in them, is a terrible mistake. 7 SH 239:16-22 To ascertain our progress, we must learn where our affections are placed and whom we acknowledge and 18 obey as God. If divine Love is becoming nearer, dearer, and more real to us, matter is then submitting to Spirit. The objects we pursue and 21 the spirit we manifest reveal our standpoint, and show what we are winning. Standpoint revealed SH 248:29-32 Let unselfishness, goodness, mercy, justice, 30 health, holiness, love the kingdom of heaven reign within us, and sin, disease, and death will diminish until they finally disappear. If so, then the way will grow brighter unto the perfect day. Your fruits will prove what the understanding of God brings to man. Condition of progress SH 496:5-8 You will learn 6 that in Christian Science the first duty is to obey God, to have one Mind, and to love another as yourself. SH 467: It should be thoroughly understood that all men have one Mind, one God and Father, one Life, Truth, and Love. Mankind will become perfect in proportion as this fact 12 becomes apparent, war will cease and the true brother hood of man will be established. SH 55: My weary hope tries to realize that happy day, when man shall 18 recognize the Science of Christ and love his neighbor as himself, when he shall realize God s omnipotence and the healing power of the divine Love in what it has done 21 and is doing for mankind.
