20 Jesus Before The Council Matthew 26: Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, Well, aren t you going to answer these charges? What do you have to say for yourself?

21 Jesus Before The Council Matthew 26: But Jesus remained silent. Then the high priest said to him, I demand in the name of the living God tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.

22 Jesus Before The Council Matthew 26: Jesus replied, You have said it. And in the future you will see the Son of Man

31 Peter Denies Jesus Matthew 26: Meanwhile, Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. A servant girl came over and said to him,

32 Matthew 26: You were one of those with Jesus the Galilean.

33 Matthew 26: But Peter denied it in front of everyone. I don t know what you re talking about, he said.

34 Matthew 26: Later, out by the gate, another servant girl noticed him and said to those standing around, This man was with Jesus of Nazareth.

35 Matthew 26: Again Peter denied it, this time with an oath. I don t even know the man, he said.

36 Matthew 26: A little later some of the other bystanders came over to Peter and said,

37 Matthew 26: You must be one of them; we can tell by your Galilean accent.

38 Matthew 26: Peter swore, A curse on me if I m lying I don t know the man! And immediately the rooster crowed.

39 Matthew 26: Suddenly, Jesus words flashed through Peter s mind: Before the rooster crows, you will deny three times that you even know me. And he went away, weeping bitterly.

40 Luke 22: But Peter said, Man, I don t know what you are talking about. And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.

41 Luke 22: At that moment the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Suddenly, the Lord s words flashed through Peter s mind:

42 Luke 22: And Peter left the courtyard, weeping bitterly.

43 John 18 In John s gospel, he separates Peter s denials. Between the 1 st and the 2 nd and 3 rd.

44 John 18: Meanwhile, as Simon Peter was standing by the fire warming himself, they asked him again,

45 John 18: You re not one of his disciples, are you? He denied it, saying, No, I am not.

46 John 18: But one of the household slaves of the high priest, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, asked, Didn t I see you out there in the olive grove with Jesus?

47 John 18: Again Peter denied it. And immediately a rooster crowed.
