2 Difficulties Surrounding Holy Spirit He is not like us! We tend to at times overreact to false teachings of other religious groups. We haven t realized how many times we have studied about the Holy Spirit

3 Who is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is a Personal Being The Holy Spirit is God The Holy Spirit is NOT the Father or the Son The holy spirit is not a person and it is not a part of a Trinity. 4 A Personal Being Personal Pronouns: over 20 times He hears (John 16:13) He speaks (Acts 8:29) He has a will (Acts 8:29) He teaches (Luke 12:12) He loves (Rom 15:30) He can be lied to (Acts 5:3) He can be blasphemed (Mt 12:31-32) He can be insulted (Heb 10:29) He directs Paul where to preach (Acts 13:2, 16:6-7)

5 Holy Spirit called God: Acts 5:3-4 But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the price of the land? 4 "While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not under your control? Why is it that you have conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.

11 Spirit = YHWH (Cp Jer. 31:31-34 & Heb 10:15-17 ) And the Holy Spirit also testifies to us; for after saying, 16 "THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS UPON THEIR HEART, AND ON THEIR MIND I WILL WRITE THEM," He then says, 17 "AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE.
