1 What is the Christian Gospel and why should you care? God Loves You For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 All are sinners For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; Isaiah 53:6 There is none righteous, no, not one. Romans 3:10 If we claim we are without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1: God s remedy for sin For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23..Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. 1 Corinthians 15: Before Jesus went to the cross for you and me he asked a crowd, What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Mark 8:36 In essence; He is saying, if you value what the world offers you more than what he offers you, then you forfeit your soul. You forfeit what your soul desires the most To experience God s love, His forgiveness, His redemption, His salvation, Jesus relationship to his Father, His peace, His power, His perfection, His passions, His purposes, His beauty, His way, His life and His truth. While you still have time, don t forfeit what Jesus has offered you. If it s a question of not feeling worthy to receive it, well, that s God s amazing grace, to receive something we don t deserve. God has given you free will to decide whether or not you want to receive Jesus or forfeit on Jesus. It all comes down to who you say Jesus really is and if you trust him for your life. For the sake of your soul, choose to believe God s reality over your own. In an honest and sincere prayer, Confess to God the Father that you are a sinner and that you believe He sent His one and only son Jesus Christ to die on a cross for your sins, that He was buried and He rose from the dead three days later. Thank Jesus for doing this for you and ask Him to be the Savior and Lord of your life. End your prayer with Amen. Show Jesus you mean it by sharing your faith in him with others and then follow Jesus in a public baptism. (See Assurance As A Believer on next page.) 14 APR PG 11 JUN PG

2 17 10 Assurance As A Believer That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. John 5:24 MAY For whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. Mark 16:16 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, not by works so that no man can boast.
