2 «l Time To (Be (Born: (Bernice Curry was born on January 4, 1957 in Augusta, Georgia to the late Arthur Curry and Magnolia Ivey Curry. She departed this life March 29, 2007 at the Southern Regional Medical Center..# Time To Learn: (Bernice attended public school in Augusta, Georgia at Westside High School. After graduating, she continued her education by becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. JL Time To (Rejoice: (Bernice accepted Christ at an early age at Greater Mt. Canaan Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia, She was a member of the Alice B. Griffin Choir. She was a very spiritual person, who had a personal relationship with God. She sflcright Now. fl Time to Live: (Bernice worked in the medical field as a nurse for over 20 years. She also worked at Savannah River Site-Dupont for 11 years as a pipefitter. After working in Augusta in the nursing field, She later moved to Sparta, Georgia in 1992 and worked at the Hancock County State Prison and the local hospital as an Emergency Room Nurse. In 1994, she moved to Atlanta and worked in various nursing homes, hospitals, hospice care facilities, and the Dekalb County Jail. She was a vibrant and happy person, and to know her was to love her. Anyone that met her could not forget her. She touched everyone s life in a special way. (Bernice had a name for everyone and often called herself "Big Gurl" and Bernice Jenkins". There was a new saying every other month or so that she would use. Some of the ones that we remember so well: What s Up, Wild, Wild, West, Throw Them Bows, Sister-r-r, Be Easy, Go To Bed and Peace Be Still. Our day s won t be the same without the phone calls that always began with "good-morning, good-morning" and "good-evening, good evening" and always, always ended with Love You.

3 Dear Ma,, Starting tomorrow without you is something I could not plan, or can not understand; but something I must Live with everyday that follows. I hope that the strength and courage you had, resides in me somewhere and will help me through those difficult times without you. I will miss your big smile that always brighten my day, your unique ways that made you special in every way, and the things that you always said. Oh, there is so much I will miss about you that we shared together, but must of all I will miss you being my mom, my sister, and my best friend. It seems almost impossible that you left me, but knowing that there is no more pain, no more crying, no more suffering and knowing that you are at peace. I Love You. See You Later, Tiese

She was truly a child of God and met no strangers. Family was very important to her and she loved her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Tiese Currington; she will also be truly missed by her mother, Magnolia Ivey Curry of Augusta, Georgia; sisters, Evelyn Ivey of Atlanta, Georgia, Omie King (Marvin) of Riverdale, Georgia; brothers, Arthur Lee Curry of Augusta, Georgia, and Larry Curry of Cleveland, Ohio; aunts, Ethelene Bell of Sparta, Georgia, Omie Colvin of Cleveland, Ohio; uncle, Napoleon "Slim" Ivey (Gladys); nieces, Stephanie Curry, Jessica Bates, Nina Bates, and Shantina Curry; nephews, Anthony Ivey (Sonya), Larry Curry, Jr., Evan Curry and Joshua Bates; special cousins, Azzalee W.
