Parents must be a registered members of the Church of Saint Patrick. One Godparent must be confirmed, practicing Catholic. Both must be Christian and at least 16 years old. Parents are required to attend a Baptism preparation program. Please call Annemarie Dirndorfer at for details, to request paperwork or to get more information. SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION: The Sacrament of Reconciliation is administered on Saturday 3:00 to 3:30 or you may call the Parish Office for an appointment. SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY: Archdiocesan policy requires couples to make an appointment with a priest or deacon at the parish at least six months before the date of the marriage. 3 Twenty-Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time On behalf of the St. Patrick's Prayer Shawl Ministry, we would like to thank all who donated so generously at our first Prayer Shawl Blessing. Your loved ones are on our prayer list. Thank you and may the Peace of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, be with you. PRAYER SHAWL ON SUNDAY Starting October 16 Starting in October the prayer shawl ministry will not only meet twice a month on Wednesday morning, there will be a monthly Sunday meeting for those that would like to join but can not make Wednesday mornings. Please join in the Convent on Sunday, October 16 after the 8am Mass. Watch the bulletin for upcoming meeting dates. October 2, 2016 Welcome NEW PARISHIONERS: We welcome all new members to our parish family. Please complete a registration form found in the church vestibule or parish office. To participate in the Sacraments of Baptism and Matrimony or to be granted a letter of eligibility for sponsorship at Confirmation or to be a Godparent you must be a registered/active parishioner of the Church of Saint Patrick. If you have any questions, please call the parish office. CARE OF THE SICK: Please notify the Parish Office when a member of the parish is in the hospital or if someone is unable to attend Mass. If they wish to receive the Eucharist or the Sacrament of the Sick, because of a serious illness or major surgery, arrangements will be made when you call the Parish Office. The Catholic Advocacy Network (CAN) is and based tool and network that keeps you informed on public policy issues and puts you in direct contact with your lawmakers to share your views. for more information. St. Patrick will be conducting a sig up drive after all Masses Oct. 8 & 9. 4 October 2,2016 TREE OF LIFE The Tree of Life located in the side vestibule of the Church, was dedicated on June 12, 2010, as a lasting memorial for our Parish. You may wish to dedicate a leaf on the Tree of Life to honor a special person or occasion. The Church of Saint Patrick has many capital projects that require extraordinary financial support. You may designate the project you wish to support with your donation. Call the Parish Office for more details. Do we need to have a lot of Faith, or will a little do? The answer may surprise you. The question is not how big our faith is, it is that with God all things are possible! October 2nd Feast Day of the Guardian Angels Church of Saint Patrick has a commitment to providing our children and youth with safe environments characterized by healthy relationships. ALL volunteers at Church of Saint Patrick must register with Shield the Vulnerable. The Archdiocese has implemented an on-line training and screening system for those that volunteer in our parish community. ALL volunteers must be registered in the on-line compliance system in order for our parish to be in compliance w Archdiocesan youth protection requirements for volunteers who work with minors, employees, and clergy. If you are a volunteer at Church of Saint Patrick please contact Annemarie Dirndorfer or Marge Fair in the parish office and they will assist you.
