2 ST. BONAVENTURE From our Pastor CONGRATULATIONS to all of our First Communicants! As children, we went nuts on Christmas morning with all the presents we received. We could hardly contain ourselves! This same feeling takes place in our young people receiving the Eucharist for the first time. They KNOW they are receiving Jesus in this very special sacrament. We adults know it as well. But the danger is that we can become complacent over time. This is caused by our human tendency toward sin. To diminish this drift, we are challenged to be as fully engaged in the liturgy as possible, live out what we learn at Mass and learn more about the Eucharist and its abundant graces. As we pray for our First Communicants to continue growing in their faith, we pray for ourselves that we may be good role models for them and strive to taste the same excitement our young people experience. The Real Presence is a real gift to us. Let s be really present in receiving the Body and Blood of Christ.
