Acts 1:8 Jesus told His disciples that when they receive the power from the Holy Spirit they would be witnesses (to HIM) in their hometown, in the surrounding areas and eventually all over the world. In the same way, Jesus is calling you to be His witness in your homes, work places and schools. To share the love of Christ as you go across the street or across the nation, whether it is around the block or around the world, whether in the South Bay, Latin America, Asia or Africa. God is calling you. The question is Will you go? We pray that you will clearly hear His voice and join Him on this journey. The 2018 Missions Application is the first step in embarking on this awesome adventure with the Lord. We are excited that you are praying about joining us for one of our upcoming short-term mission trips. These mission trips will give you an incredible opportunity to experience all that God is doing in various parts of our world, but more importantly, what God wants to do in your own life. We ask that you diligently complete the 2018 Missions Application (which also asks that you provide copies of your passport, identification and medical insurance cards) and prayerfully consider the commitment you will be entrusting to the Lord and to the missions team. Once you have completed the Missions Application the second step is to attend, our next scheduled team meeting and to be faithful to participate in all team meetings and training sessions. With this in mind, you can expect the following at our Missions Team meetings: Building unity and encouragement through our team devotions Instructing in areas of ministry (ex. balloon twisting, puppets, drama, worship) Training in the area of evangelism, language and culture Developing godly relationships with the mission team members. Once you have done this, you are well on your way to becoming a 2018 CCSB short-term missionary.
