THE BATTLE OVER THE BIBLE Lesson 18 Conclusion: Randy Broberg, 2004
2 Timothy 3:12-15 Now in fact all who want to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. But evil people and charlatans will go from bad to worse, deceiving others and being deceived themselves. You, however, must continue in the things you have learned and are confident about. You know who taught you and how from infancy you have known the holy writings, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
The Doctrine of the Bible It s absolutely essential! It s undeniably foundational Neglect it at your peril

Attacks On Inspiration & Inerrancy Contradictions in the text confirm the inaccuracy of the gospels. + Biblical Authors Not the authors
Attacks On Historicity Of Bible The Bible books were recorded well after the lifetime of the eyewitnesses and have been embellished over time
Attacks on the Canon Of the 80 gospels available, the church chose only four of the gospels and even these four present a distorted portrait of Christ as the Divine Son of God.
Attacks On Transmission of the Bible Manuscripts The gospels were not transmitted accurately through the years so what we have is not accurate to the original texts.
Weird Attacks
1 Cor 14:8 And if the bugle gives an indistinct sound, who will get ready for battle?
Always Be Prepared but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence. 1 Peter 3:15
Yet, is that all? A dog barks when his master is attacked. I would be a coward if I saw that God's truth is attacked and yet would remain silent. John Calvin ( )
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth
