3 A NEW KIND OF MAN II Corinthians 5:17 King James...Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 20C...so if anyone is in union with Christ, he is a new being! His old life has passed away and a new life has begun! Phillips...For if a man is in Christ he becomes a new person altogether: the past is finished and gone, everything has become fresh and new. Barclay...When a man becomes a Christian, a new act of creation happens to him. His old life is gone forever; a new life has come into being. Laubach...For if a man is in Christ, he is created anew. The man he was passed away, and behold, a new man has been created. Cottonpatch...Therefore, if a man is a Christian he is a brand new creation. The old man is gone; look, a new man has appeared. The old man you were before you were born again is totally gone he no longer exists. God annihilated him. There is no record of his existence. Through Jesus redemptive work, God totally destroyed the old man that was connected to sin. Colossians 2:14 Laubach...God crossed out the whole debt against us in His account books. He no longer counted the laws that we had broken. He nailed the account book to the cross and closed the account. There is no account of the old man the old sin nature is gone; you now have a new nature the nature of Almighty God, your Father. 1

4 I John 5:1 King James...whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God Cottonpatch...has been fathered by God. We now have the very life and nature of our Father Almighty God. The word for LIFE in the Greek language is ZOE. ZOE (LIFE) Zoe means life as God has it. Zoe is God s nature. It s God s life in the absolute not one speck of darkness or failure in it. John 1:4...In Him (Jesus) was Life (Zoe) and this life was the light of men. John 5:26...For as the Father hath Life (Zoe) in Himself; so hath He given the Son to have Life (Zoe) in Himself. Jesus was the ONLY man on the earth at that time that had Zoe, God s life and nature. Zoe is what made Jesus different from all other men. WHAT WAS THE NUMBER ONE REASON THAT JESUS CAME TO THIS EARTH? John 10:10 King James the thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, (Zoe-God s nature) and that they might have it more abundantly. Wade...I, on the contrary, have come that they may have life, and have it in fullest measure. Williams...I have come for people to have life, and have it till it overflows. 2

5 Translator s...that men may have life, and have it in overflowing measure. Wuest...I alone came in order that they might be possessing life, and that they might be possessing it in super abundance. I John 4:9 Wade...God s love manifested itself among us in this way...sending His only Son on a mission into the world, that we might have Life through Him. DID JESUS ACCOMPLISH HIS MISSION? God sent his only Son into the world to bring us life. When we receive Jesus as our personal Savior, we receive God s life His nature His DNA. JESUS BROUGHT US GOD S LIFE! When we receive Jesus as our personal Savior, we are born again ( John 3:3). We have the same kind of nature as our Father and as our Master, the Lord Jesus Christ. I John 4:17...As he (Jesus) is so are we in this world. Are you in this world? This scripture means that you are as He is, right now in this earth. Receiving God s life and nature means that you have the attributes of God in you. One of the attributes of God is LOVE. God is love...i John 4:8 Romans 5:5 says the love of God is shed abroad in our heart by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. 3

6 Another attribute of God is faith. Hebrews 11:3 King James...Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God. Beck...by faith we know God made the world Romans 12:3 says that God has dealt to every man among you, the measure of faith. At the New Birth, God gives us the measure of the God-kind of faith, the kind that built the worlds. II Peter 1:3...According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness. Allow me to quote that scripture this way, He hath given us everything that God s Life (Zoe) contains that includes the God-kind of faith. II Peter 1:4 says we are partakers of God s Divine Nature. God s nature is faith. II Peter 1:5 says add to your faith. King Buzi Translation (mine) add to your God-given faith (the kind that you received when you became a partaker of God s divine nature) WHAT IS FAITH? Romans 3:27 says FAITH IS A LAW. A law, (such as gravity or reproduction) works 100% of the time it never fails. The law of faith works 100% of time when put into action. What is faith? It is the ability to believe God s Word to the point that the Word of God is the only thing you will act on. 4

7 Faith does not deny that sickness, failure, needs, or any contrary circumstances exists. Faith does deny anything that is contrary to the Word of God, the right to rule and reign over you. Romans 10:17 King James...so then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Hudson...so then, faith arises New English...faith is awakened by the message Your God-given faith arises or is awakened...it is inspired by hearing God s word! Faith is a noun, it will lie dormant until you act, then it becomes belief (action)....he that believeth hath Faith acted upon always brings us the victory! I John 5:4 King James...For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Phillips...For God s heredity within us will always conquer the world outside us. In fact, this faith of ours is the only way that the world has been conquered. We have inherited faith from our Father God, the kind that will overcome, change, or conquer this world system. The word world, in the above verse means the world system of sin, sickness, poverty, failure, fear, or anything that came on man when Adam rebelled against God. Do you believe that God s faith will overcome anything of satan s kingdom and always bring victory? You have the God s kind of faith overcoming faith. 5

8 Let us look at some scriptures that prove we have the Godkind of faith. Ephesians 2:8...For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. When you were saved (born again), God gave you FAITH. God only has one kind of faith it is the God-kind that built the world. Romans 12:3...God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. What king of faith is given to us? God has one kind of faith the God-kind the same kind he uses. God wants His man to live totally by faith. The just shall live by faith...romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11, Hebrews 10:38 God wants us to live a faith-life; that s why He gave us His faith-nature. Galatians 2:20...I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Where did you get the faith of the Son of God? John 1:12 says to as many as received him (Jesus), to them gave he power to become the sons of God. 6

9 When you receive Jesus, you receive everything that He is. John 15:5...I am the Vine, ye are the branches. The same substance is in the branches as in the Vine. The substance that is in the vine is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, FAITH. Did you know that whatever is in the Spirit of God is in you? I Corinthians 6:17...But he that is joined unto the Lord is ONE SPIRIT. You do not have 2 or 3 spirits in you you have ONE. Your spirit and the Holy Spirit are ONE. I Corinthians 6:17 Schonfield...He who unites with the Master forms a single spirit. Whatever is in the Spirit of God is in you, this includes the faith of God. Galatians 2:20 Distilled Bible...I consider myself as having died and now enjoying a second existence, which is simply Jesus using my body. THAT IS CHRISTIANITY! How many times have we quoted, we are the body of Christ, without realizing exactly what we are saying. God wants to reveal, through His body, that Jesus Christ is alive and is raised from the dead and is living in born again man. 7

10 Galatians 1:15, 16...But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother s womb, and called me by his grace, to reveal his son in me. I Corinthians 12:27...Now ye are the body of Christ. Ephesians 5:30...For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. These scriptures mean that Jesus is living in a human body, here in the earth. He is living in the body of born again man. Galatians 2:20...no longer I, but Christ liveth in me. Colossians 1:27...Christ in you, the hope of glory. Everything God wanted us to be, He put in Christ, then brought us into union with the resurrected, glorified, Christ. Jesus is the Vine, we are the branches. Colossians 2:9,10 King James...For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him. Amplified...And you are in Him made full and have come to fullness of Life in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead! Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and reach full spiritual stature. 20C...And by your union with Him, you also are filled with it (the Godhead and all its fullness). We are complete with everything our Lord and Master is complete with. 8

11 Our God is a FAITH GOD; so by our union with Him, we have been made a God Created Faith-man. Romans 8:29 King James...For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Cottonpatch...shaping them into the exact image of His Son, who thus became the first boy in a whole line of brothers. Barclay...For long ago, before they ever came into being, God both knew them and marked them out to become like the pattern of his son, for it is his purpose that his son should be the first and eldest of a great family. Street Letters...God wanted them to become just like his Son. Conybeare...to be made like the pattern of His Son. Jesus was the pattern for God s new creation man. If there is a pattern, God must have wanted more sons just like the pattern. Ephesians 2:10...we were created in Christ Jesus. The preposition in means coming from. Ephesians 2:10 could be translated, we were created out of and coming from Christ Jesus. We are born of God, coming from God, with God living in us. All of God s life, holiness, righteousness, and His faith is inside us. Ephesians 4:6...One God and Father of all, who is above all and through all, and in you all. 9

12 Ephesians 4: be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. These verses say for us to put God s Word into our thinking. Think like what these scriptures say. I am created after God with His attributes, His righteousness, His true holiness. Amen! You put on the Word of God in your thinking by meditating on the scriptures. Meditation is thinking on the Word of God and then speaking the Word out LOUD to yourself. Ephesians 4:15...but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ. Meditation thinking on and speaking the Word about who you are in Christ then putting it into practice, this is what will cause your mind to be renewed and reprogrammed to think like God thinks about you. We need to understand that God has one standard for Chrisians. He has only one example, one prototype, one pattern and that pattern, that example, that standard, is Jesus Christ. THE PATTERN God, our Father used the pattern the Lord Jesus Christ, to make us as He wanted us. As Jesus is, so are we in this world ( I John 4:17) Now! Now! Now! John 3:34...for he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God; for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. Many preachers use John 3:34 for a bases to teach that Jesus had the Spirit without measure, but that a Christian has the Spirit with measure. 10

13 To teach that born again man has the Spirit with measure is not total truth. We must remember after the death, burial and resurrection, Jesus said, ALL power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. (Matthew 18:18). Jesus now has ALL power, ALL authority and He now lives in us. John 17:21-23 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And that the glory which thou gavest me, I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Do these verses say that Jesus Christ is in us and that we are one with Him and with the Father? I Corinthians 6:17...But he that is joined unto the Lord is ONE SPIRIT. Whatever is in Christ is in you. He is the Vine, you are the branch. You are NOW, the temple where God lives by His spirit, without measure. ( I Corinthians 3:16) SENT BY GOD John 17:18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. The word as means in the same way or with the same anointing. 11

14 Jesus said in John 14:12...he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also God would not send us to do the works of Jesus without the same equipment he had his power, his anointing, his spirit without measure. How are we to do the works of Jesus? Christ means anointed one. The anointed one means one with the ability of Almighty God. Colossians 1:27...Christ (the Anointed One-the one with the ability of God) in you. Galatians 2:20...no longer I but Christ ( the Anointed One) liveth in me. Is Christ in you? John 1:12 says, but as many as received Him (Jesus Christ)... Did you receive him? Where is Jesus living? In you by the Spirit of God. Has Jesus the Christ lost any of His power since He was raised from the dead? NO-NO-NO AFTER THE RESURRECTION In Matthew 28:18, Jesus said, all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. And in Matthew 28:20 He said, I am with you always. Hebrews 13:5 For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Where is this ANOINTED ONE? He is living in you. 12

15 God has created for Himself a new creation nation a nation of God-men a nation of faith-men. Galatians 2:20 says we are to live by the faith of the Son of God. You can t live by the faith of the Son of God unless you have the faith of the Son of God. Galatians 3:22-25 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come Faith came when we were born again ( Ephesians 2:8). The God-kind of faith that believes all things that are written in the Holy Word of our God. Amen! The thing that caused Jesus to heal and perform miracles was that He knew who he was, He knew who lived in Him. John 14:9...He that hath seen me hath seen the Father. John 14:10...the Father that dwelleth in me. He doeth the works. God wants to reveal the resurrected Christ through you. (Galatians 1:16). Jesus declared, when you have seen me you have seen the Father. As sons of God we should declare, when you have seen me you have seen the Christ. Christ, the Anointed One in me is here to heal and to set the captives free - this should be our bold confession. 13

16 NO SIN CONSCIOUSNESS Jesus walked to the tomb of Lazarus with no fear. Because Jesus knew who he was and had no sin consciousness, he could be bold in the face of sickness and death. When needs came up or storms arose, Jesus was confident that the Father God always heard him because of a righteousness consciousness. Hebrews 10:2 says we are to have no more conscience of sins. The Amplified Bible says we would no longer have any guilt or consciousness of sin. II Corinthians 5:21 King James...He (Jesus) was made sin for us (as our substitute on the cross) that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Williams Translation...Jesus was made a sin offering for us. Street Letters...The Father took the son who never had any evil in him and laid the evil of the universe on him... ALL SIN IS PAID FOR BY THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS. If we fail, we have I John 1:9. II Corinthians 5:19 King James...To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself: and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. NAS...Namely that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and he has committed to us the word of reconciliation. AMP...It was God (personally present) in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with himself, not counting up and holding against (men) their trespasses (but canceling them); and committing to us the message of reconciliation of the restoration of favor. 14

17 NEB...What I mean is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, no longer holding men s misdeeds against them, and that he has entrusted us with the message of reconciliation. Hebrews 10:17...their sins and iniquities I will remember no more. The OLD man we were was a sinner he had a sin nature. Romans 5:5-8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Everything Jesus did for us in the death, burial and resurrection, He did has our stand-in and as our substitute. Galatians 2:20 I was crucified with Christ Romans 5:6 Christ died for the ungodly. HIS DEATH WAS OUR DEATH! Romans 6:4 We are (were) buried with him Our old man, our old self was crucified with Christ, he died and was buried with Christ the old man we were no longer exists. II Corinthians 5:17 says we are a NEW CREATION. This new creation has never been connected to sin. You ( the new man inside) have never been a sinner. 15

18 God did not make us forgiven sinners. He made us sons of God. Sons that are just as righteous and holy as Jesus Christ. (I John 3:7, Ephesians 4:24) The NEW MAN that we are has been made by God a perfect man. Hebrews 12:23...and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect. Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering (Jesus) he hath perfected them that are sanctified. I Corinthians 1:30 says that Jesus was made for us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. God has made a new man with a perfect spirit. I Thessalonians 5:23 King James...And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Rotherham Translation hallow you completely and entire...spirit and soul and body. Revised Standard Translation...to be kept sound. American Standard be preserved entire. New American Standard...Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete. God wants and has made us complete with His completeness. John 1:16...and of his fullness, have all we received. 16

19 Colossians 2:9,10 King James...For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him. Taylor Translation...v. 9...for in Christ is all of God in a human body. Amplified...v.10...and you are in Him made full and have come to fullness of life in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead! Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and reach full spiritual stature. Goodspeed...For it is in Him that all the fullness of God s nature lives embodied, in union with Him you too are filled with it. 20C...And by your union with Him, you also are filled with it (the Godhead and all its fullness) As born again sons of God we have God s life (Zoe), his nature, and his ability in us. Philippians 4:13 King James...I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Jerusalem Translation...there is nothing I can not master with the help of the One who give me strength. Berkley...I have strength for any situation. Barclay...He who fills me with his dynamic power has made me able to cope with any situation. You can see by these scriptures that God has well equipped us with everything to be victorious in everything in this present life. FAITH MAN We have God s life (Zoe), his nature, his ability. We are the temple, the house that Almighty God dwells in. The new creation man is full of God; he is full of the Godkind of FAITH. 17

20 The problem with God s man is, he does not know who he is in Christ. He does not know that he has God s nature (DNA) and that he is full of God s faith. If you have read all of this book, you have been stirred and inspired by seeing who God has made you at the new birth. Now that we know who God has made us and that we do have the God-kind of faith; we now must learn how to use it. You can be full of faith and die, never receiving your healing that has already been bought and paid for. A man who does not know how to use his faith is like a man with $1,000, in the bank, but no knowledge of how to make a withdrawal. Without the knowledge of how faith works you cannot receive what already belongs to you. WHAT IS FAITH? Your faith is inspired by God s Word faith inspired by the Word of God will cause you to speak and act ONLY on God s Word. God s report is the only one that you should believe and recieve. No other negative report can cause you to act in fear or doubt when you speak and act God s Word only. Hebrews 11:1 King James...Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Amplified...Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title-deed) of the things (we) hope for, being the proof of things we do not see and the conviction of their reality faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses. Revised English Bible...faith gives substance to our hopes. 18

21 Hope belongs to us because of the redemption we have in Christ. The Bible is a book of hope. Bible hope is the covenant promises of God. Your faith gives substance to hope (covenant promises) or causes your hope to become a reality in the realm of the physical. Your faith causes your hope to materialize. Hebrews 11:1 in the Living Bible says, faith is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead. The Bible is NOT your guarantee that you will receive the blessings of God, but your God-given faith is your guarantee. Faith is a spiritual law (Romans 3:27). A law is something that works every time. Hebrews 11:1 Cottonpatch Translation...faith is betting your life on the unseen realities. II Corinthians 5:7 We walk by faith, not by sight. This means that when I pray or ask God for anything that the Word of God says belongs to me, I believe that I have it before I can see it. I John 5:14,15 William Barclay Translation...The reason why we can approach God with complete confidence is that if we ask for anything that is in accordance with his will he hears us. If we know that he listens to us, whenever we ask him for anything, we know that the things for which we have asked him are already ours. 19

22 God s will and His Word are one and the same. Find the scriptures from the Word of God that cover what you need. Your faith will be inspired to receive from God (Romans 10:17). HOW TO PUT YOUR GOD-GIVEN FAITH INTO MO- TION ENABLING YOU TO RECEIVE EVERY TIME: Mark 11:22,23 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. You get your faith moving by saying what belongs to you. Don t just say what you want or need, but say what belongs to you have scriptures to back it up. Jesus is the High Priest of our profession (Hebrews 3:1). Profession in the Greek language is homolegeo, meaning, say the same thing. Saying the same thing God says about you puts you in agreement with God s Word. Your confession must be based on God s Word. If you need healing, find the scripture that promises you healing, such as I Peter 2:24...by whose stripes ye were healed. Begin to confirm with your mouth that this scripture is true. Example: Father, I thank you that by the stripes of Jesus I am healed. Reading this scripture and thinking on it and speaking it out loud will reprogram your computer (mind). You do this until nothing makes sense to you but the Word of God. 20

23 Mark 11:24 King James...Therefore I say unto you, what things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Moffatt...So I tell you, whatever you pray for and ask, believe you have got it, and you shall have it. You believe you have received what you asked for NOW (present tense), before you see it or feel it. I put my faith into motion, I say I have what I ask for NOW. This is my God-given faith at work. The saying it is my responsibility. God s part is the you shall have it. If you do your part God will do His part. Hebrews 6:13...because he (God) could swear by no greater, he sware by himself. God has sworn by himself to keep His Word. Jeremiah 1:12 Revised Version...I watch over my word to perform it. New Berkley...I am likewise awake over my word to fulfill it. Your God-kind of faith believes that God always answers YES to faith. FAITH IS A NOUN A noun is the name of a person, place, or thing. Faith is the substance Faith (noun) becomes belief (verb) when acted upon. Having faith has never been the problem in receiving. You have faith. The problem has been in knowing that you have the God-kind of faith and how to use it. 21

24 FAITH HAS ACTION TO RECEIVE Faith acted upon by speaking God s Word will always bring victory. Acts 14:7-10 And there they preached the gospel. And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother s womb, who never had walked: The same heard Paul speak: who steadfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice, stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. Paul said the man had faith to be healed; but he was not healed until he acted upon what he heard Paul preach. The cripple man acted in response to Paul s command. What made the cripple man act? He was inspired by the Word of God that he heard Paul preach; he acted upon that word and Paul s command, stand upright on thy feet. The cripple man didn t respond to Paul s command by saying I can t stand, I have never stood, I have been crippled all my life, I was born this way, the doctor said I will have to live this way. The Word of God inspired him and he responded by acting. Faith is always inspired to act. If you have a need for healing, act on the Word do what the Word of God says you can do. James 1:22 King James...But be ye doers of the Word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. Cottonpatch...Become doers of the Word. Don t kid yourselves by being listeners only. Phillips...Don t only hear the message, but put it into practice; otherwise you are merely deluding yourselves. 22

25 Message...Don t fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting the word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear! Our God-given faith will never fail when we act on it. Find the Word that covers what you are believing for (it will inspire you to act). Begin to confirm with your mouth speak God s Word out loud then act out the Word. Do what you couldn t do before. If you couldn t walk, walk. If you couldn t see, see. Don t try to do it. Just do it! Once my foot was swollen so badly that I could not put it on the floor. I had to sleep with my foot out the window it hurt so much I couldn t stay in the same room with it. (ha!) It really was bad. I could not rest or sleep. It s hard to receive when you are in excruciating pain. But I know that I have the God-kind of faith. The kind of faith that never fails when acted upon. I began to meditate on God s Word (think on the Word and speak it to myself), then I acted because of the word in Matthew 8:17 that says, himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses Psalm 103:2,3 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth al thy diseases. Exodus 15:26 King James...I am the Lord that healeth thee New English...I the Lord am your healer. Basic English...I am the Lord you life-giver. Rotherham...I am Yahweh thy physician. Young...I, Jehovah, am healing thee. Goodspeed...for I, the Lord, make you immune to them (diseases). Knox I, the Lord, will bring thee only health. 23

26 These are the scriptures that inspired me to act and receive healing for my foot. My heart was inspired, but my foot was still swollen and in pain. I hobbled out my front door. I began to shout out loud Thank you Lord, that you are my doctor, my physician, you bring me only health I thank you for my benefits Thank you Jesus that you took my infirmities and bore my sicknesses. By his stripes I am healed. I took another step, then another, another, another, then I began running, shouting, leaping, praising God. I was and am healed. The healing had no choice but to come.
