2 Colossians 2:6-7, As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. (NASB)

3 Colossians 3:15-17, Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts. 4 GRATEFUL/THANKFUL: From the Greek word eucharistos which means to give freely. Gratitude is a freely given expression of joy, despite circumstances. To be thankful means to be filled with gratitude and gratefulness toward God and others. To be mindful of blessings and favors. To be kind, generous, liberal and benevolent to others. To be pleasing, agreeable and gracious.

5 A lack of gratitude, a spirit of discontent can blind the eyes, can sour the heart, can deeply affect others and can destroy my life.

6 The Sin of Ingratitude, of Grumbling & Complaining

7 We live in a world and society that is prone to complaining. In companies, the employees complain about their bosses and one another. In homes, husbands complain about their wives. Wives complain about their husbands. Parents complain about their children. Children complain about their siblings and their parents. In churches, the members of the congregation complain about one another and the pastor. We live in a world full of complaining and arguing. Dr. Gregory Brown

9 Exodus 15:22-27, Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness and found no water.
