Luke 12:12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say."

27 What the Holy Spirit Does In & Through Us The Counselor teaches and reminds us of what we need to know and remember. He is our comforter, our advisor, our encourager, and our strength. He guides us in the way we should go. Psalms 143:10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground! Acts 13:2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them."

28 What the Holy Spirit Does In & Through Us From the Spirit we receive power to be God s witnesses to the ends of the earth. It is the Spirit who draws people to the gospel and believers closer to Jesus. Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

29 What the Holy Spirit Does In & Through Us By the power of the Spirit we put to death the misdeeds of the body. The Spirit sets us free from sin, which we cannot get rid of on our own. Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

30 What the Holy Spirit Does In & Through Us Through the Spirit we have received adoption as children, which leads us into intimacy with the Father, instead of a relationship based on fear and slavery. Romans 8:15-16 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, "Abba! Father!" (16) The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God

31 What the Holy Spirit Does In & Through Us By the power of the Holy Spirit we abound with hope because our God is a God of hope, who fills His children with all joy and peace. Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

32 What the Holy Spirit Does In & Through Us As members of God s kingdom community, each of us is given a manifestation of the Spirit in our lives for the purpose of the common good. We all have something to offer because of the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:7 To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.

33 What the Holy Spirit Does In & Through Us We are able to take on the characteristics of God by the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:22-25 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, (23) gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. (24) And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (25) If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

34 What the Holy Spirit Does In & Through Us The Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. (27) And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

35 What if I don t see these things in my life? It s impossible for you to do these things on your own. That s actually the point it s impossible for you, and that s why God sent us the Spirit. If you want to see the Spirit working in your life, God tells us to ask Him and He will give us the Spirit. Luke 11:13 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"
