FELLOWSHIP PRAYER GROUP Fellowship Prayer Group meets every Wednesday from 7:00 8:00 PM in the Daily Chapel. SACRAMENTAL LIFE Reconciliation: Celebrated on Saturday from 4:00 5:00 PM, or by appointment with the priest; Parish Penance Services are celebrated during Advent and Lent. RCIA: The RCIA process is open to those who have never been baptized as well as those baptized into a different faith, and those needing to complete the sacraments of Eucharist and/or Confirmation. The group meets Tuesdays at 7:00 PM. If interested, contact Deb for more information at RCIA@stjudeparish.org. Anointing of the Sick: The sacrament of the healing is available at any time to all who are seriously ill, hospitalized or preparing for surgery, as well as those of advanced age. Please contact the parish office to make arrangements for the priest to administer the sacrament. If it is an emergency, please call Ext 14. Parish Registration: Is requested of all individual persons and families who worship regularly with us on Sundays and who intend to participate in the life of our parish with their time, talents, and treasures. For more information, call the parish office or stop by the Information Office after any mass on Saturday or Sunday. Registration is necessary as well for the issuing of sponsor certificates. Matrimony: Contact the parish office at least 6 months before the prospective date. Baptism: Baptism Preparation Class is held on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:00 PM in the church. Baptisms are held on Saturday at 12:00 Noon and Sunday at 2:00 PM. Call the parish office to register for class and to schedule Baptism.

To give is an act of faith. We promise to be wise stewards with the funds that you entrust to us. God Bless You. A REFLECTION FOR THE TENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME By Andy Alexander, S.J. Pope Francis has often noted that the first words of God to the human family are from this passage where God asks Adam, "Where are you?" Francis suggests that it is a good question for us today. Where do we find ourselves today? What is the situation around us? What is our purpose? What is our relationship with others? What is it we are being called to be and to do? Paul reminds the Corinthians that we are not discouraged because the resurrection of Jesus has already given us new life and "our inner self is being renewed day by day." The good news is what gives us hope and courage. Our faith is what allows us to be bold and to live our lives for others without holding back. In the Gospel, Jesus is being accused of driving out demons because he's in league with evil. It is outrageous, but it does show how some religious people rebelled against him. When his relatives come to be with him, Jesus makes it clear that the deepest bond he has with his brothers and sisters is that we are faithful. Religious practice or authority, and certainly not only a relationship with him, makes us holy. Mark makes the point clearly: "And looking around at those seated in the circle he said, 'Here are my mother and my brothers. [For] whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.'" Real intimacy with Jesus is about communion with him, in fidelity, in following his example. Intimacy happens when our heart becomes more like his and we are drawn to a fidelity to the Father and the Father's way. We can ask for the grace, "Make my heart like yours, dear Jesus." We have migrated our website to a new provider, ecatholic, the web hosting company officially endorsed and sponsored by the Diocese of Paterson. We made this change for several reasons: The site will be much easier to maintain on the new platform Support is excellent and provided by a company that specializes in Catholic-centered products The new platform will provide access to expanded Media, such as video ecatholic is the web platform recommended by the Diocese Note that the former content on the website is still available, and you will be able to find it in the places you're already familiar with. Since this is part of a Diocesan initiative, the update was done at no charge to St. Jude. St. Jude Parish would like you to join us on June 24th, in the Parish Center at 6:00 PM for a showing of The Case For Christ, a 2017 movie starring Erika Christensen, Faye Dunaway and Frankie Faison. The movie is about investigative journalist Lee Strobel, a self proclaimed atheist, who sets out to disprove the existence of God, after his wife becomes a Christian. Chasing down the biggest story of his career, Lee Strobel comes face-to-face with unexpected results that could change everything he knows to be true. The cost is Free and the movie is rated PG. As Christians we have a social responsibility with the least in our society, especially with the kids. Children around the world love soccer more than any other sport. Yet many children in poverty have never played with a real toy or an actual soccer ball. Sometimes a soccer ball is more than just a ball. Sometimes, it is a lifesaver. Since the Soccer World Cup in Brazil 2014, Fr. Jhon Madrid has been leading a campaign, called Soccer Balls for Joy. The idea of this campaign is to collect soccer balls for children in poverty. In the past four years more than 2,000 soccer balls have been collected and children in Uganda, Kenya, Philippines, Colombia, Bolivia, Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala have been the joyful recipients of this campaign! Let us pass the joy by donating a Soccer Ball for a poor kid somewhere in the world!
