1 CHAPTER 5 WHEN PRESSURE COMES JUST SAY NO! In Chapter Four, Dr. Bill Winston cautioned us to speak by faith and not by fear. The Law of Confession is true for the save as well as the unsaved. But as believers, we can overcome negative confessions by God s Word. Dr. Winston explained how Job made the mistake of speaking what he feared rather than standing in his faith in God. He realized Satan is energized by our words of fear in the some way God is energized by our words of faith. Job s story shows we can be righteous and still allow Satan to have power over what concerns us. Anything that s not right can open the door for the enemy, and when he comes in, he wreaks havoc. Our words are a matter of life and death. We can cause a death or save a life. Death is anything that separates us from the abundant life Jesus died to give us. And we have the power to cancel out any negative words we say and what someone else says over us. If we can t speak words of life, we ought to remain quiet. We shouldn t speak words of fear or unbelief or allow others to speak unbelief into our lives. The enemy can take those words and cause what you fear most to come upon you, the way he did Job. If they do speak such words, we must line up our heart and mind with God s, and speak words of faith to overcome any deception the enemy throws at us. REVIEW OF CHAPTER 5 AS SOON AS YOU GET THE REVELATION OF THE LAW OF CONFESSION AND BEGIN TO WALK IN IT, YOU ARE GOING TO EXPERIENCE ALL KINDS OF PRESSURE. THE DEVIL AND HIS DEMONS WILL WORK OVERTIME TO THROW CIRCUMSTANCES AND UNBELIEVING PEOPLE IN YOUR PATH TO TRY TO GET YOU TO MOVE AWAY FROM YOUR CONFESSION OF FAITH IN GOD AND HIS WORD. 1. WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT IMPARTS A VISION FOR YOUR LIFE, LEARN EARLY ON TO SPEAK ONLY WHAT GOD SPOKE TO YOU AND ONLY SPEAK ABOUT IT TO THOSE WITH WHOM GOD HAS GIVEN YOU PEACE. 14.
