The curriculum offered is Godly Play, a Montessori based look at the many Bible stories. We hope your children can join us at 1 Chapel Lane (behind Santander Bank). Newcomers welcome! The Diaconate invites you to join in a Family Breakfast before worship on Sunday, April 9, 8:30 AM in the Chapel. Come and enjoy a delicious hot breakfast to begin your day, then head to Sunday School, Church or off to sport obligations. All are welcome! Seaside Parish Knitters meets alternating Thursday afternoons in the Conference Room of the Chapel, 3-5 PM. Join us April 6 and 20. For where 2 or 3 are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Matthew 18:20 All are welcome to gather in the parlor of First Parish Church on the first and third Thursday of each month, next gathering April 6. We will start promptly at 6:00 PM and end at 7:00 PM. We will be praying in one accord, a form of conversational prayer. Bring your concerns to the Lord whether they are for Yourself, Family, Friends, Our Country, The World! You may pray along silently or pray aloud.

Signups must be finalized a week in advance (April 27) Two shifts available 5 people max / 3 people min per shift. 2:30 to 4:30 (preparation) and 4:30 to 6pm (serving and clean up). We will commit to May 4 and then more dates if it goes well. Food Pantry/Warehouse - Max 3 people. Signups finalized by Thursday the week before. Mondays 1-3pm. Responsibilities are to stock shelves, possibly help with checkout, bagging of produce, and sorting food donations. Second Glance Thrift Store Max 3 people per shift. Signups finalized 3 days before. 7 Reminder: One item from each family's routine grocery shopping trip will go a long way towards fulfilling the mission of our local food pantries, look for containers in the Chapel and Narthex for donations. Brown Bag Lunches Friday, March 31. Can you help? Needed: Donations of food, volunteers to make the sandwiches and a volunteer to deliver the meals to Gloucester. Please bring donations to the Chapel kitchen before 10 AM on Friday. See a member of Missions or sign up online to help with this ongoing mission held each last Friday of each month. The Nominating Committee is looking for volunteers! Because we are a Congregational church, we are dependent on our members to serve in various ways as officers or on committees. Join us on Sunday, April 2, for a conversation with Lisa Fenn, author of Carry On, In the spirit of The Blind Side comes a deeply moving memoir about the unexpected bonds that would transform three lives. Lisa Fenn produced human-interest features for ESPN for over a decade, but one particular story came into her life and never left. After seeing a newspaper image of two young wrestlers from one of Cleveland s tougher public high schools, Lisa followed a hunch and flew back to her hometown to meet the boys that very day. 8 We continue with a new selection for April; "Hillbilly Elegy" by J. D. Vance. The Vance family story begins hopefully in postwar America. J. D.'s grandparents were "dirt poor and in love" and moved north from Kentucky's Appalachia region to Ohio in the hopes of escaping the dreadful poverty around them. They raised a middle-class family, and eventually their grandchild (the author) would graduate from Yale Law School, a conventional marker of their success in achieving generational upward mobility.
