Many have attended Christ Church since childhood and there is a real sense of belonging. 9
10 4. List areas of Church life which you consider in need of development: We need to put in place an organised system of outreach and establish a programme for welcoming new families. Encouraging the youth Growth within the year old age range VIII. Additional Information Please add here, or on another sheet, anything else which you would like the Patron and the Bishop to know about the conditions, needs and traditions of the parish. Christ Church has a stable, committed congregation. There is a real sense of belonging and a desire to see the Church grow. We are not an affluent parish and, in recent years, we have struggled to pay the Parish Share in full. We enjoy a good relationship with our sister church (St James ) and provide one another with ongoing support, both in spiritual and practical terms. We are fortunate in that we do have a number of young people in the congregation. We are anxious that we are able to provide an environment which provides suitable teaching and nurture to ensure that we can hold onto them. It is hoped that the new Vicar might have some experience in working with young people. We are evangelical in that we have decided to live our lives with Jesus at the centre and we are looking for a leader who is able to lead us forward and outward. Moldgreen needs God, and we need someone with a vision to help us take God into our community. Our tradition is not formal. Although we follow the liturgical pattern of worship, we present a relaxed, friendly atmosphere where people can feel comfortable, especially if visiting for the first time. It is often disheartening when a church loses its Vicar, and it goes without saying that we miss Heather very much, but we see this as a new beginning. We hope that when the Diocese are looking at Christ Church and St James they will see that at the heart there is a core of people who love God and who want to follow Jesus in their everyday lives. We are praying for God s choice for our churches; someone who can make an impact on the Church and in the local communities. We believe that now is the time for this to happen. IX. The New Priest List the qualities and skills you would like to see in the Priest who will next have care of your Parish: A calling to do God s work in our Churches and within our parishes. A sensitive and approachable person with a vision to guide us with new and exciting ways for growth. Good leadership skills and an understanding of financial matters. To recognise gifts in others, to encourage and enable them. Friendly, empathetic, a good listener and communicator with people of all ages. A team leader who is willing to ask for help and to accept help when offered. To have a good sense of humour. 10

The Financial Statements of the P.C.C. have been prepared in accordance with the Church Accounting Regulations 2006 using the R & P Basis. 2. The Common Fund for Year was 22,019 and was underpaid by 9, Following the annual service of the boilers we were told that the boiler which heats the Parish Room was getting unreliable and would need replacing in the near future. If the boiler fails we will be unable to hire out the rooms to Playgroup. The P.C.C. decided that we didn t pay any more money off the Common Fund but put it in the Deposit account so that we can buy a new boiler if we don t manage to get a Grant. This we have done and that can be seen from the balance of the Deposit Account. 4. It is the responsibility of each one of us to share, pray continually for our financial guidance, being good stewards of the money given, giving as much as we can so that all our bills and the Common Fund are paid in full. Remembering always that God Loves a Cheerful Giver. 15
