1 SUPPLY LIST Winter Year 2 Lessons Stewardship Note: Kids Kount Publishing recommends using a wide variety of resources with our lessons. This supply list is a guide. Our curriculum is meant to be adaptable, and this includes your selection of supplies. Feel free to substitute videos and crafts similar to the ones suggested. Check for items you may have on hand and adapt as needed. You may be able to use videos from your city library, video rental store, and members of your congregation or other churches. If you are comfortable ordering over the Internet, new and used sources are available for videos and supplies at various prices. Lesson 28 Small Group Warm-Up four rectangular blocks, such as small wooden blocks or large blocks of 2"x4" wood.option: Cardboard building blocks Large Group game board write the name CHRIST on a sheet of butcher paper 52 long by 33 high with a marker or spray paint. Use large, creative lettering to fill most of the sheet. Make two sets of the phrases (p ) using different colored copy paper for each set: i.e. one set copied on green and the other set copied on red. Using movable tape, randomly tack the copy paper over the name CHRIST to look like a checkerboard. 3 Lesson 31 Small Group Warm-Up one present wrapped in a very unattractive way. This could even be a paper sack wrapped around a box. 27 Lesson 35 Small Group Warm-Up Getting the Soil Ready When you picture God in your mind, what does he look like? Tell about something you prayed a lot about. What nice thing did you do for someone this week? If God gave you a thousand dollars to spend for him, what would you do with it? If you could be like one Christian that you know, who would that be? Why? Think about someone who doesn t have very many friends. Why do you think that is so? What could you do to help someone who doesn t have very many friends? If Jesus were to ask you to do something for him at your school, what do you think he might ask you to do? 27

29 Lesson 39 Testimonies Servants Tell Their Story Today in Kingdom Quest, the kids are learning that *Jesus is the greatest because he is servant to all but Jesus also told us that the greatest among us would be a servant to everyone else as well. We would like to give the children real-life examples of people who serve God by serving others. We also realize that this might feel a little bit embarrassing to talk about how you serve God because you are not seeking your own glory. However, the kids need real life examples to counteract what the world tells them every day. In telling your story, please keep it under one minute. Simply tell them one thing you do to serve others and how that helps welcome people into God s kingdom. Conclude with a comment that it is a privilege to serve others since Jesus has served us so thoroughly by giving his life for us. 29

31 Lesson 40 Small Group Activity GAME CARDS Cut and place seven of these cards in a stack. There are two special cards. One of these special cards will be under the place that is right before the door of the kingdom. The other special card will be placed as the last card of the deck. This card entitles all kids free access to the kingdom. SPECIAL CARD Place under the place right before the door of the kingdom. If you have done anything wrong in your life, go back to the beginning and start over. SPECIAL CARD Place as the last card of the deck. Jesus paid for your entrance into his kingdom. He died on the cross for your sins. He is alive to give you life. If you trust him as your Savior and want to follow him as Leader, please enter his kingdom. I made my bed every day this week. Move one step forward. I helped a friend at school with homework. Move one step forward. I did not obey my parents right away when they asked me to do something this week. Move two steps back. If you can tell about a time this week when you talked with someone else about Jesus, move forward two steps. If you prayed every morning before going to school, move forward one step. If you did not do this, move back one step. If you remembered to bring an offering to the Lord today, move forward one step. If you did not do this, move back one step.
