Baptism We Welcome our Recently Baptized to our Parish Community: Reagan Grace Barkocy and Tennyson Craig Barkocy daughters of Emily & Thomas GRAND-Parenting Ministry T GRAND- M extends an invitation to all grandparents, godparents, aunts, uncles and sponsors interested in learning how to speak about the Good News and the beauty of our Catholic faith to all members of their families and attend the full six week program. The goal of this ministry is to share our faith at home and across the generations, that is, to build faith in our families by learning the teachings of the Church, living what God has shown to be true, and helping others to do the same. It is a great opportunity to energize each other so that we may take a more active role in the Church ministry of evangelizations in our families and in our parish community. The Catholic GRAND-parenting ministry began on Thursday, March 8. This six week program meets on Thursdays at 10:30am until noon in the church Trustees room. Confession is a wonderful opportunity to set aside our sinful ways and to draw closer to our Lord. Confessions will.be held every Monday during Lent, until March 26, from 7:00 to 8:00pm in every Catholic Church in the Diocese of Paterson. Don't be afraid! Information will be provided. From the Diocese Recovery Mass The Shrine of Saint Joseph, 1050 Long Hill Road, Stirling, NJ, hosts a monthly \Recovery Mass on the second Saturday of each month from 12noon- 1:30pm. Following Mass, there is an Intercessory Prayer Session in the chapel where you can pray in community for loved ones still enslaved by addictions, and give thanks for those who have found recovery. 4 Tricky Tray!! March 22, 2018 The St. Mary's Prep annual Tricky Tray will be held THIS Thursday, March 22nd at The Mansion at Mountain Lakes. Bereavement Life after Loss This Special Session of Seasons will focus on Traumatic and Untimely Death. Loss of a loved one at any time is painful. Finding peace and healing after the loss of a loved one under unexplained or traumatic circumstances is even more difficult. This special session of Seasons of Hope focuses on coming to terms with traumatic loss and finding ways to navigate the path to healing and ultimately acceptance. Sessions began February 21st and continues for 8 consecutive weeks. Choice of a Wednesday or Friday evenings will be determined by the group. Our Next Regular Session of Seasons of Hope will begin on Wednesday, April 18 and continues for 8 consecutive Wednesdays. ONGOING SUPPORT: Seasons The Journey meets every 2 nd Thursday of the month in the Narthex of the Church at 6:30pm. The Journey is open to those who have attended one of our 8-week Seasons Programs. Senior Acolytes To and/all parishioners who may have recently retired or are available during morning hours, please consider joining our Senior Acolyte ministry. There are currently several teams of 3-4 and the time commitment is usually no more than one and a half hours two times a month as funerals occur within our parish. Training will be provided. Visiting Nurse Association of Northern New Jersey s House Calls for Groceries (HCG) provides grocery shopping assistance on a weekly or biweekly basis to homebound residents in Morris County. Once matched, volunteers contact the HCG client to schedule a mutually convenient time to grocery shop. Volunteers visit the client s home to pick up the shopping list, and payment for the groceries. Then, the volunteer will shop at a local grocery store, deliver the groceries to the client s home and assist with putting items away. This is a great opportunity for professionals, retirees and students who are looking to for ways to create meaningful relationships with neighbors.
