2 Times of Trouble 2 Timothy (Timotheo) 3: 1-5 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without selfcontrol, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. (dynamis) And from such people turn away!

11 James 1:16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 1) to cause to stray, to lead astray, lead aside from the right way

12 How did my emotions get so Strong?

13 So here s the deception When you are in a Rut, your desires are too strong you can t do anything about it. The Rut is the way things are, that s reality. Jesus has no strength, power and ability and neither do you. Don t change just accept the way things are.

14 The Truth Is... Jesus has Power and Authority, whether you feel it on not.

15 Jesus Has Power and Authority Recognising the Power and Authority of Jesus is a matter of Faith not Feeling.

16 The Centurion Saw it. Recognising the Authority of Jesus is a matter of Faith Matt 8:5-13 v9. "For I also am a man under authority, (exousia) having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another, 'Come,' and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it." 10.When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, "Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!

18 Authority (exousia) 1) power of choice, 2) physical and mental power a) the ability or strength with which one is endued, which he either possesses or exercises 4) the power of rule or government (the power of him whose will and commands must be submitted to by others and obeyed)

22 How do we exercise that Power and Authority in Life?

Present : Now Passive : Be receiving Imperative: this is not at all an "invitation," but an absolute command requiring full obedience on the part of all hearers.
