9 Today s Message Prepare for Battle! Scripture text: Ephesians 6:10-20

11 Ephesians 6:10-14a Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore

12 Whether we realize it or not we are at WAR! It is a Spiritual Battle that rages on, whether we fight or not, it is still happening all around us! This is why bad things happen to good people. It would be like taking a stroll through a war zone then wondering why we got shot or hurt. Almighty God never intended this, He created a beautiful garden, a paradise, called Eden. But disobedience to His law cause mankind to be driven out of the garden, and the Earth was cursed because of sin.

13 So like it or not we are behind enemy lines and the Battle Rages On! 2 Timothy 4:5-8 As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.

14 Colossians 3:1-6 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. On account of these the wrath of God is coming.

15 Ephesians 6:11-12 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. This is talking about dark forces of evil Demons, lying spirits whispering in your ear to do wrong, feeding your desires.

16 James 1:13-15 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God," for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death. Remember garbage in, garbage out, or you can have God in and God out. What are you feeding your soul?

17 1 John 4:1-3 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. The Spirit of God will always line up with His Word! Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

18 Matthew 10:5-10 These twelve Jesus sent out, instructing them, "Go nowhere among the Gentiles and enter no town of the Samaritans, but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And proclaim as you go, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay. Acquire no gold nor silver nor copper for your belts, no bag for your journey, nor two tunics nor sandals nor a staff, for the laborer deserves his food.

19 As a Spirit filled follower of Jesus Christ, you can NOT be possessed by a demon! 1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. Revelation 12:17 Then the dragon became furious with the woman and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And he stood on the sand of the sea.

20 Revelation 13:7-10 Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation, and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain. If anyone has an ear, let him hear: If anyone is to be taken captive, to captivity he goes; if anyone is to be slain with the sword, with the sword must he be slain. Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints.

21 So WAR has been declared against the followers of Jesus Christ. As a true follower of Jesus Christ we can be oppressed and depressed by demonic forces. Which is why we must put on the whole armor of God everyday! Because sometimes we give an open door to these demonic forces without even realizing it. Here is some examples of what I m talking about:

Are you feeding any of these demons? If so, STOP! Get off this crazy cycle and serve the Lord Jesus Christ! Surrender to Jesus, and He will set you free, for He has already PAID the cost for sin!
