1 Richard Reed Hickman Richard Reed Hickman Chesapeake, VA Served in the : Air Force Richard Reed Hickman, 43, beloved son of Patricia Reed Hickman of Chesapeake and Richard H. Hickman of Ivor, passed away Wednesday, May 25, Richie grew up in Virginia Beach. He loved the beach, was an accomplished guitarist and loved life with his friends in the 80's. He was a part of First Baptist Church of Norfolk. Richie is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, William and Margaret Hickman and his maternal grandmother, Juanita Reed. Along with his parents, left to cherish his memory are his aunts, Barbara Woodhouse, Rick, and Bonnie Cartwright, Jim; grandfather, John Reed; cousins, John Ferebee, Zack Cartwright, Sam Cartwright; stepmother, Joanne Hickman; stepbrother, Erik Roberts and stepsister, Jennifer Warrick. A private service for Richie will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite church or ministry in his memory. The family is being served by R.W. Baker & Co. 5 He told me so very much about you and your gang of friends!???? Helping you with math brought a memory to me...his Algebra teacher called me to a conference trying to stop Rich from blurting the answers out loud before he had the equation written all the way out on the board. Rich told me writing it out on paper was a waste of time he already figured it out in his head! He read Einstein's Book on Relativity for fun. He was a gifted musician who played both classical music, hard rock and Christian music all by ear. I miss my Richie so much! I know he is loving you all remember him like this, Richie's Mom Robin Clark Rawls Richard, I used to live across the road from you in Ivor I am very sorry for your loss my thoughts and prayers are with you. All our days and nights hanging out at each others home is a fond memory of mine. I can remember each and every time I stayed at your house and you would get your mom to drop us off at the arcade to play video games Even though we never had any money but your mom would always hook us up. Which we spent hours upon hours doing!! Then you would crash at our place and somehow we always ended up in my neighbors pool. From our days riding bikes down Baker Road to hitting jumps back in the Pitts You and me both know we were not allowed back there or running into the 711 for snacks I wouldn't have traded it for the world. You don't know the joy that was brought to me after we reconnected after all these years. All of our late night conversations catching up and reminiscing brought tears of joy to my face. I do believe my friend you had the memory of an elephant because you told me things we did which I couldn't even remember. I will remember you always my brother!!!! God bless you my friend!!! Oh so good to read your sweet words of comfort. Thank you Merry..I loved him so very much. The pain of leaving his body to rest is only bearable because he is now in "his father's house. Thank you dear friend He has finally found peace and I remember you fondly..you both had such fun together. Thank you Joey.. He was so gentle and caring before his illness but it still showed through. I will always love him.

10 He is out of that tremendous suffering and loved "his Jesus" as he called him. I know where he is but I will miss him every day. Thank you for your comforting words. It means a lot.
