2 EASTER April 1, :00 am Sunrise Worship Welcome to all who are worshipping with us. Easter is the oldest and greatest of the Christian festivals. It has always been regarded as the chief and most joyous of the observances of the church, commemorating the resurrection of Christ and the restoration of life to the world which sin had ruined. WELCOME & OPENING PRAYER READING Mark 16:1-8 SUNG CONFESSION Forgive Us Gary Rand and Hannah Rand (Congregation joins in on the chorus as part of our confession together) We try, we fail. Bell Will you come and follow me if I but call your name? Will you go where you don t know and never be the same? Will you let my love be shown? Will you let my name be known, Will you let my life be grown in you and you in me? Will you leave yourself behind if I but call your name? Will you care for cruel and kind and never be the same? Will you risk the hostile stare should your life attract or scare? Will you let me answer prayer in you and you in me? Will you let the blinded see if I but call your name? Will you set the prisoners free and never be the same? Will you kiss the leper clean and do such as this unseen, And admit to what I mean in you and you in me? Will you love the you you hide if I but call your name? Will you quell the fear inside and never be the same? Will you use the faith you ve found to reshape the world around, Through my sight and touch and sound in you and you in me? Lord your summons echoes true when you but call my name. One Great Hour of Sharing is the single, largest way that Presbyterians come together every year to work for a better world. Jim Durrett, Executive Director of the Buckhead Community Improvement District, will discuss Atlanta s Park Over GA400. Come learn about the effort to create a greener, more connected community knitting together residential and commercial districts on opposite sides of the highway by building a park directly on top of GA400 and the Buckhead MARTA station. Reservations are not required; $7 per person. Miles for Smiles Saturday, April 14 8:00 am Trinity Early Learning Center (TELC), a mission of Trinity, is holding its annual 5K and fun run, Miles for Smiles, at Trinity on April 14. Proceeds from this fund raiser support the TELC tuition scholarship fund and TELC improvements. We encourage you to support this mission by being a sponsor, donating, or participating in the fun run. Register or donate: com. LEARN PURPOSEFULLY BCM Food Drive Buckhead Christian Ministry April Food Drive begins today. For the month of April, look for the food bins in Trinity s hallways. Grab a shopping bag with a list and bring your donations in during the month of April. Buckhead Christian Ministry (BCM) is a faith-based, not-for-profit organization that provides compassionate emergency assistance to individuals and families facing hardship, and offers meaningful opportunities to serve the Atlanta community. How can you help? 1. Write a check to BCM and put Trinity Church Food Drive in the memo line. 2. Assemble what you can from the list below and place in the BCM FOOD DRIVE bins at Trinity, throughout the month of April. 3. Buy a Kroger gift card! BCM purchases groceries in bulk from Kroger each month, and your gift card will be put towards our next purchase of food just like a check. 4.
