2 Welcome to A New Dawn for Asia! The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned. (Isaiah 9:2) A new dawn is rising over Asia. The shifts in global power that began in the late 20th century have accelerated since the onset of the economic crisis in By 2030, Asia will overtake the United States and Europe in terms of GDP, population size, military spending and technological investment. Yet, despite these gains, many Asian countries today confront crucial challenges that will determine whether they continue on a sustainable path to prosperity or fall victim to economic stagnation, social unrest, and political instability. Among these challenges are widening income disparities, persistent poverty, widespread corruption, and growing ethnic and religious conflicts. The severe economic downturn in China in the last few months is a sign that anything could happen. Right in the midst of all this is the Church in the Marketplace! And what a critical role she has to play! Now is the time for the Body of Christ to arise in Asia and shine like never before. Now is the time to lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus laid hold of you! (Philippians 3:12) What is God s YES for you, your business and working life, and your nation? Are you equipped for the task ahead? ICCC is sounding a call to current and future Marketplace people, men and women who will stand in the GAP and make a difference in the workplace, cities and nations. As we gather, you will discover the greatness of God and understand how to see more of the Kingdom of God manifest in power in your business and working life. We need to see radically healed companies, new creative solutions and ideas, new innovations leading to job creation and other measurable impacts upon What do we see? Countries with wonderful people suffering from isolation, alienation and distress, some without hope who are looking for a life with greater meaning and purpose. What do we want? We DREAM about GOD S YES to be manifest in our working life, business, industries and countries. What do we do? We GATHER UNDER THE LORD! STAND UP IN THE GAP and TAKE COURAGE! Seeking wisdom and a new understanding of our time, its issues and challenges embracing the Lord s purpose. society. A people raised up as an army, and nations restored to the Living God (Psalm 2:8). It is time to stand up and to take courage - to walk by faith and obedience and see a glorious manifestation of the Kingdom of God in the marketplace. There is a YES from the Lord: for you, your business and working life. Our future, freedom and liberty is kept in Jesus, and this gift from God can only be received through the Spirit by FAITH! We look forward to seeing you in Jakarta as we journey together in this unique international network for the purposes of His glory being revealed in the marketplace. Welcome!
