6 Prayer - Caryn Rivadeneira Message: This Is Not a Romance - Peter Semeyn, Lead Pastor Ruth 2 & 3 Prayer of Response Announcements Offertory: Unfailing Love The offering is for the Elmhurst Ministries Fund This Is My Desire (I Give You My Heart) This is my desire, to honor you Lord, with all my heart I worship you All I have within me, I give you praise All that I adore is in you Lord, I give you my heart, I give you my soul Every breath that I take, every moment I m awake Have your way in me Sending & Blessing Postlude Worship Team - Doug Bardolph, Justin Bardolph, Billy Heschl, Lori Helmus,Brian Hoekman, Erin Lanenga, Steve VanHout THIS WEEK AT ELMHURST CRC Ruth goes to extraordinary measures to procure food for herself and Naomi. She takes a large risk in going to the harvest field of a wealthy landowner, Boaz, to see if she can talk him into letting her get some leftovers from his harvest. Boaz is extraordinarily kind (hesed) to Ruth and extends privileges to her that are totally unexpected. Because of his grace and kindness, Naomi and Ruth no longer have to worry about survival. Jesus taught that everyone who had been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. (Luke 12:48) NEXT WEEK AT ELMHURST CRC The stirring finale of Book of Ruth will be our destination Included will be real estate deals, proposals, marriages, the exchanging of sandals, the birth of babies, happy grandmothers and the destiny of all God s people. You can read all about it in advance in Ruth chapter 4. OUR CHURCH FAMILY
