II Timothy 4:7,8 Mrs. Dorothy Hunter Bowdre, was 6orn on August 26, 1954, in Augusta, Qeorgia to the [ate Mr. 9{ewt Hunter and Mrs. ^{inartunter. She entered into eternal rest ontuesday, Jebruary, 13,2001, at Doctors Hospital, Augusta, Qeorgia. She was a 1972graduate of Westside ttigh School and a 1974 graduate of Augusta TechnicalCollege. At an earhj age, she was Baptized at the Macedonia Baptist Church, Martinez, Georgia. She was united in ^ioly Matri mony in 1983, to Mr. James Bowdre, Jr. who preceded her in death in To this union two children were Born. She. reunited with the Sharon Baptist Church, where she served on the Women s fellowship Ministry and as former Director of the youth Ministry. She was a former President of the Parent Teacher Organization at the Stillerest Sap tist School. She was a former employee of Coca Cola Bottling Company in Augusta, Qeorgia and was presently employed as an Adminis trative Assistant at ferguson Enterprise. Dorothy had a strong love for her family and friends and her pastime was photography and modeling. She brought joy, laughter and fondness to all that were blessed to be inner pres ence. Today, as we reflect on our tremendous loss, we cherish the legacy of beautiful, loving and sweet memories. She leaves to cherish her memory: two loving sons, Brandon Hunter Bowdre and James Bowdre, III, of Augusta; mother, Mrs. 9{ina 9{unter, of Augusta; two sisters, Mrs. Emma McQruder, of Augusta and Mrs. Myra tt. Lee, of Richmond, VA; two brothers, Mr. John Lockjwrt, of Edgefield, SC and Mr. Shelley Hunter, of Augusta; mother-in-law, Mrs. Jessie <M. Bowdrc, of Augusta; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Mamie Wright, Ms. Joyce Bowdre and Mrs. Sandy Bowdre, all of Augusta; two brothers-in-law, Mr. Michael". Bowdre, Sr. and MT. Toney L. Bright, Sr., of Augusta; two godchildren, Adrianna Olds and Leanna Olds, both of Charlotte, ia/t; a special friend, Mr. franf^orman, of Atlanta; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins andfriends.

3 OUT Mother J{ey, 'Momma, I know the Lord chose what was best for you. 'Even if you would have stayed with us, it would be just like you were still in the hos pital because you would not be abce to spea^or anything. So really the Lord was watching out for you and chose the best. I am being taken care of by my cousins, accompanied by great friends, and mainly taken care of by and being guided by a really great Aunt. If you are wondering, yes we have someone to take care of us. Sometimes it's hard but the Lord chose what was best for you, at least you are up there with daddy and the Lord.
