TODAY AT ELMHURST CRC Last week we celebrated Easter, he is risen! In the weeks to come, we'll be studying the book of James (who was Jesus' brother! in the New Testament in order to help guide us into living our lives in the light of the resurrection. In this first week, we'll consider what James says about suffering and Christian maturity. NEXT WEEK AT ELMHURST CRC We are quick to blame God when things don't go well in our lives. Never mind that our own desires and wills are the sources of difficulty and tension in our lives! Next week, we'll look at what James has to say about Christianity maturity and the ability to affirm God as the giver of every good and perfect gift. For preparation, read James 1: 12-18, which will be our text.
