MOUNT CARMEL GLOBAL ASSEMBLY Archbishop Dr. Ronald R. Mayo, Sr., Founder and CEO WE HAVE COME THIS FAR BY FAITH Another Mile of My Journey Officers and Members of the Mount Carmel Global Assembly, I thank God for this occasion. I am humbled that you have recommended me for this High Honor. When I think back to March 5, 1997, I know that high have been the mountains and low have been the valleys... but through it all we made it together. After all this time WE ARE STILL STANDING.! Thanks be to God. In times like these it looks like the world is disarrayed, out of control and in trouble. It is refreshing to be able to stand on God s promises. We must remember that the church belongs to Jesus and He shall return one day to claim it. Therefore we must work while it is day for the night cometh when no man will be able to stand. Hold on to your faith Mount Carmel the best is yet to come. We need to just keep our hands in God s unchanging hands. Since you have requested of the Honorable Archbishop Dr. Warren A. Hemphill, Sr., to be the Chief Celebrant over these proceedings and have gathered together as a congregation to witness this Sacred Act of God s Holy Spirit moving, I ask that we please remember all the officers and members that helped to establish our great organization along the way. Mount Carmel Global Assembly would not have been able to continue growing had it not been for the people that God sent to help this Ministry. We should continue giving thanks and praise to God for His Vision and Wisdom for our group. The successful pattern of blessings we have enjoyed at Mount Carmel Global Assembly could only have come from the Lord. I praise HIM for all that He has done! God has kept all of His promises to me. I cannot begin to list the awards, gifts, degrees, positions, life experiences and rewards. It is my prayer that God will continue to bless Mount Carmel Global Assembly; and, that we will have the pleasure of many, more great celebrations as God takes us higher and higher in Kingdom Building. I will always Love, Care and be Concern for you all. 1

Mayo, Sr. If you have any questions, please call me at (919) I want to thank you for considering our request. Love, Care and Concern Dr. Ida M. Raynor Secretary, Board of Directors Mount Carmel Global Assembly ****** The term Archbishop simply refers to a Bishop who presides over a larger geographic area; or a diverse group of people and programs; and, who is entrusted with certain powers and obligations like the Mount Carmel Global Assembly. A common misconception of an Archbishop is that he or she is a step above a regular Bishop. Archbishops have the same standings and authority as does any other Bishop but may possess more than one of the fruits of the spirit, talents, and longevity of service. An Archbishop does not represent that he has a sacred superiority over other Bishops, whose ministries are local, but rather, oversees on a widespread basis, ministries and/or other programs. Archbishops have multiples roles. They are teachers; preachers serve in a religious leadership functions; and, serve as Visionaries, Organizers and Administrators. One of the most important roles of an Archbishop is to provide leadership to leaders and followers and faithfully implements the Sacred Visions of the Holy Spirit. An Archbishop is usually a well-seasoned Preacher and Teacher who has been in the Ministry for a long period of time and has a clean mind, pure heart and many gifts of the Holy Spirit. 2

Part Two CONSECRATION CEREMONY INTRODUCTION OF CHIEF CELEBRANT DR. MARTIN A. BROWN THE HONORABLE ARCHBISHOP DR. WARREN A. HEMPHILL, SR. FOUNDER AND CEO OF THE IAOWAPRAISE WORSHIPING ARTS GUILD AND IAOWAPRAISE UNIVERSITY AND WORSHIPING ARTS SCHOOL Chief Celebrant Serves Archbishop Elect Communion The Given of Communion Celebration Holy Communion Bishop Dr. Ronald R. Mayo, Sr. kneels at the Altar to receive Holy Communion For as often as you do this, you do it to show forth His Suffering The Collect Almighty God, who by Thy Son Jesus Christ did give His Life and through the Holy Apostles gave many excellent gifts charging them to feed His flock. Give Grace, we beseech Thee O Lord, to this Archbishop being installed today and to all Bishops, Pastor of Churches and Ministers that they may diligently preach Thy Word and duly administer the Godly Discipline thereof; and, grant to the people that they may obediently receive Thy Word and as we work to receive the crown of everlasting glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. The reading of the Epistle 1st Timothy 3:1 THIS is a true saying, if a man desires the office of a Bishop, he desires a good work. An Archbishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach; not given to wine, nor striker, not greedy of filthy lust, but be patient, not a brawler, not covetous; but, one who rules well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; (for if a man knows not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of he church of God?), not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he falls into the condemnation. Moreover, he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he falls into reproach and the snares of the devil. 9

The reading of St. John 21:15 JESUS said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, love you thou Me more than these? He said unto Him, Yea, Lord; thou know that I love Thee. He said unto him, feed my lambs. He said to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, love thou Me? He said unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, love you thou Me? Peter was grieved because He said unto him the third time, Love thou Me? Feed my sheep; feed the flock..... St. John 20:19 THE same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus, and stood in their midst, and said unto them, Peace be unto you. And when He had so said, He showed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father has sent me, even so send I you. And when He had said this, he breathed on them, and said unto them, receive ye the Holy Ghost and whosever sins, ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose sins ye retain, they are retained. St. Matthew JESUS came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. After the readings of the Gospel, and the Sermons, the Chief Celebrant presents unto the Congregation and the Mount Carmel Global Assembly and friends of the Archbishop Elect and his pending consecration. The Clergy and all present will say: FATHER, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we present unto you this godly and welllearned man, Consecrated and installed, Archbishop Dr. Ronald R. Mayo, Sr. Then, the Chief Celebrant demands recognition from those in attendance and reads the Mandate for the Consecration. THAT it may please Thee to bless our Brother, Elected, Concentrated and Installed and send Thy Grace upon him, that he may execute the Office whereunto he is called, to the edification of the Church, and to the honor, glory, and praise in the Holy Name of Jesus. Answer. We beseech Thee to hear us O Lord. 10

Then shall he say the following prayer ALMIGHTY God, giver of all good things, who by thy Holy Spirit hast appointed divers orders of Ministries in Thy Church, mercifully behold this thy servant, now called to the work and ministries of an Archbishop; and, so replenish him with the truth of Thy Doctrine, and adorn him with innocence of life, that, both by word and deed, he may faithfully serve Thee in this Office, to the glory of Thy Holy Name. Guide him through the edification and well-governing of this Guild and Thy Church, through the merits of our Savior Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns within us through Thy Holy Spirit, world without end. Amen. Then shall the Chief Celebrant say to the Archbishop to be Consecrated and Installed BROTHER, forasmuch as the Holy Scripture commands that we should not be hasty in laying on hands, and admitting any person to govern in the Church of Christ, which He has purchased with no less price than the effusion of His own blood, we admit you to this office by recommendations from the Mount Carmel Global Assembly and others who bears witness to how you are faithful and how God has shown favor to you on your work for Christ, for as it is known, only what you do for Christ will last. ARE you persuaded that you are truly called to this Ministry according to the Will of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and the edits of this Sacred Office? Answer. I am so persuaded. The Chief Celebrant ARE you persuaded that the Holy Scriptures contain all doctrine required as necessary for eternal salvation through faith in Jesus Christ? And are you determined out of the same Holy Scriptures to instruct the people committed to your charge? Answer. I am so persuaded, and determined, by God's grace. The Chief Celebrant WILL you then faithfully exercise yourself as in the Holy Scriptures; call upon God through prayer for the true understanding of the same; so that you may be able to teach and exhort with wholesome belief and to withstand and convince the unbelievers? Answer. I will so do, by the help of God. 11

The Chief Celebrant ARE you ready, with all faithful diligence, to banish and drive away from the Church all erroneous and strange doctrine contrary to God's Word; and both privately and openly to call upon and encourage others to the same? Answer. I am ready, the Lord being my helper. The Chief Celebrant WILL you deny all ungodliness and worldly lusts, and live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world; that you may show yourself in all things an example of good works unto others, that the adversary may be ashamed, having nothing to say against you? Answer. I will so do, the Lord being my helper. The Chief Celebrant WILL you maintain and set forward, as much as shall lie in you, quietness, love, and peace among all men; and such as be unquiet, disobedient, and criminous activities, within your Spiritual Organization, correct and punish, according to such authority as you have by God's Word, and as to you shall be committed by the Word of God? Answer. I will so do, by the help of God. The Chief Celebrant WILL you be faithful in ordaining, sending, or laying hands upon others? Answer. I will so be, by the help of God. The Chief Celebrant WILL you show yourself to be gentle, and merciful for Christ's sake to the poor and needy people, and to all strangers destitute and need help? Answer. I will so show myself, by God's help. Then the Chief Celebrant shall say ALMIGHTY God, our heavenly Father, who hath given this servant a good will to do all these things; Grant also unto this servant your strength and power to perform the same; that accomplishing in this servant the good work which he hath begun, you may be found perfect and irreprehensible at the latter day; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. 12

The Chief Celebrant shall have the Archbishop Elect put on his vestment and kneel down surrounded by all other Ministers, Preachers, Pastors and Bishops with each reciting a verse below: COME, Holy Ghost, our souls inspire, And lighten with celestial fire. Thou the anointing Spirit art, Who, Thy sevenfold gifts impart. Thy blessed unction from above, Is comfort, life, and fire of love. Enable with perpetual light The dullness of our blinded sight. Anoint and cheer our soiled face With the abundance of thy grace. Keep far our foes, give peace at home; Where thou art guide, no ill can come. Teach us to know the Father, Son, And thee, of both, to be but One That, through the ages all along, This may be our endless song: Praise to thy eternal merit, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. COME Lord, hear our prayer. Answer. And let our cry come unto thee. Let us pray ALMIGHTY God, and most merciful Father, who, of Thine infinite goodness, hast given thy only and dearly beloved Son Jesus Christ, to be our Redeemer, and the Author of everlasting life; who, after that he had made perfect our redemption by His death, and was ascended into heaven, poured down his gifts abundantly upon men, making some Apostles, some Prophets, some Evangelists, some Pastors and Doctors, to the edification of the Church and making perfect His Church; Grant, we beseech thee, to this Thy servant, such grace, that he may evermore be ready to spread abroad thy Gospel, the glad tidings of reconciliation with Thee; and use the authority given him, not to destruction, but to salvation; not to hurt, but to help: so that, as a wise and faithful servant, giving to Thy family their portion in due season, he may at last be received into everlasting joy; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord, who, with Thee and the Holy Ghost, live and reign, one God, world without end. Amen. 13

Then, as led by the Chief Celebrant, other Bishops, Pastors, Preachers and Ministers present shall gather and lay their hands upon the head of the elected Archbishop kneeling before them. The Chief Celebrant saying: RECEIVE the Holy Ghost for the Office and Work of an Archbishop in the Church of God and the Mount Carmel Global Assembly, now committed unto Thee by the Imposition of our hands; In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen. And remember that thou stir up the grace of God, which is given thee by this Imposition of our hands; for God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and soberness. Then the Chief Celebrant shall deliver the Archbishop his Bible, saying, GIVE heed unto reading, exhortation, and doctrine. Think upon the things contained in this Book. Be diligent in them, that the increase coming thereby may be manifest unto all men; for by so doing thou shall both save thyself and them that hear thee. Be to the flock of Christ a shepherd, not a wolf; feed them, devour them not. Hold up the weak, heal the sick, bind up the broken, bring in again the outcasts, and seek the lost. Be so merciful, that you be not too remiss; so minister discipline, that you forget not mercy; that when the Chief Shepherd shall appear, you may receive the never-fading Crown of Glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. The Chief Celebrant Introduces Archbishop for Remarks and Benediction (Interlude) There s a Sweet, Sweet Spirit in this place and it s the feeling of the Lord. The Blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, be amongst you, and remain with you always. Amen. 14
