Searching our soul, we recognize our failings and humbly lay our broken life before the Lord. We beg him for pardon, and cling to his saving grace. Our Father lifts us up, assures us of his love and sends us renewed to live with joy and thanks for his mercy. I know that the students and staff at Catholic School are truly blessed to have such a great community that loves and supports them. Prayer for the Third Sunday in Advent O Almighty God, gracious provider and giver of life, we anxiously await the celebration of your birth. Like the people of long ago, our ancestors in faith, we, too, are in need of light, in need of direction, in need of your Word, to show us the way. Our busy lives and the consumerism that surrounds us makes it difficult to recognize your kingdom and to hear your voice. Help us Lord, to focus on you. We pray that you hear our prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen. I leave you with this message from 1 John 4: 7-8, 12: "Let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God.
