5 lineville BAPTIST CHURCH 2591 VINEVILLE AVENUE MACON, GEORGIA Phone: January 23, 2012 Dear Friends, In sending out the contribution statements for 2011, it is imperative that we offer. our gratitude for the generosity of the family of faith at Vineville. Last year we continued to see excellence in our music ministry and time of worship, giving thanks for both the sanctuary choir an childreii's c oirs.we felfhow worship iiiirtured our lives - and watched how our children continued to learn the traditions and hymns of the church. We also saw the children and youth ministries expand, embracing our young people with the love of God, while also teaching them about discipleship and ministry. The ministry of the church was vibrant and life-giving throughout the year, offering support to organizations such as the Mid-State Baptist Association and Habitat for Humanity to only name a couple. We supported tutoring programs for teenagers, donated food to the hungry, gave to clean water projects in Malawi, and sent a mission team to continue rebuilding after Hurricane Katrina., '. 'We witnessed the caregiving of the congregation flourish, as deacons and church members remembered, visited, and cared for the sick and homebound in tangible ways. We continue to see the church develop in diversity of age, strengthening its outreach, as well as deepen its sense of community between generations in the church. We give thanks for the many gifts of last year that were possible through the gifts of the church. In difficult economic times, the staff and leadership of the church remains diligent and careful about our expenses, while we all reflect on our routine and proportionate giving for the upcoming year, offering our gifts out of gratitude for our blessings. Vineville continues to live into its mission, building deep community with one another where people are welcome and offering ministry to others with the grace of'christ, which is life-giving to our congregation and to the community around us.
