1 Taking Up the Shield of Faith (Part 1) Ephesians 6:14-16

2 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; Ephesians 6:14-16

3 What is faith?

4 What is faith? Faith believing/trusting the promises of God, the plans of God, and the truth of God.

5 What is faith? Faith believing/trusting the promises of God, the plans of God, and the truth of God. Saving faith believing/trusting in Christ to forgive you and grant you His righteousness, always accompanied by repentance.

6 What is faith? Sanctifying (transforming) faith believing/trusting the promises, plans, and truth of God that lead me to become more like Christ.

7 The faith that saves is the faith that sanctifies.
