1 Name: Ancient Civilizations Project Egypt, Greece, Rome Date: CIVILIZATION: ASSIGNMENT: You and your group have been chosen by the Ancient Civilizations Tourist Bureau to design a travel brochure promoting your ancient civilization. As members of the travel agency, you have been asked to sell a trip to your assigned ancient civilization. Not only do you want to earn the bonus your boss is rewarding you with by proving that your civilization is the very best destination, but you are also a proud citizen. Using PowerPoint, you will create your travel brochure and present it to the class. PROCESS/RESEARCH: 1) You will use a variety of resources to research your civilization using the categories provided. Each group member will become an expert on one of the categories. You will record your research by taking notes on the graphic organizer provided. This must be in note form No full sentences or single words. Notes must be phrases. 2) Then you will use your research/notes to write draft paragraphs 2-3 paragraphs for each category. Remember to include a topic sentence, details, and a concluding sentence for each paragraph. 3) Next, you and your group will publish the paragraphs into a travel brochure by creating a PowerPoint presentation. Attach pictures, videos, diagrams, and titles to the presentation. 4) Lastly, you will present your travel brochure to the class. Make sure to rehearse your presentation. PRESENTATION: Your PowerPoint presentation must include: - Title Page - A convincing opening - Each expert should contribute at least two slides on his/her category. - Subtitles (The research categories) - Paragraphs that present the researched information - Pictures and video to go along with the slides. - Graphs, timelines, charts etc. - An effective ending that makes one last attempt to get the traveller to visit. - A work cited slide. - Your presentation should have at least 10 slides

In other words, what kind of job/role gave you power within the society? What different classes of people existed? What freedoms did the people of each class have? What were they not allowed to do? Describe the role of man, woman, and child within the family structure? Did people have the opportunity to obtain an education in Ancient Egypt? What kind of education? Ex.
