Love and Faith *Searches made using LOGOS software WITHIN 5 Words context searches. 1 Co 13:13 Eph 6:23 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love. Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Th 1:3 remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Th 3:6 But now that Timothy has come to us from you, and has brought us the good news of your faith and love and reported that you always remember us kindly and long to see us, as we long to see you 1 Th 5:8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. 1 Ti 1:14 and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 1 Ti 2:15 Yet she will be saved through childbearing if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control. 1 Ti 4:12 Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. 1 Ti 6:11 But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. 2 Ti 1:13 Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 2 Ti 2:22 So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. 2 Ti 3:10 You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness, Tt 2:2 Tt 3:15 Phm 5 Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness. All who are with me send greetings to you. Greet those who love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. because I hear of your love and of the faith that you have toward the Lord Jesus and for all the saints,
Love and Works Ro 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love. 1 Th 5:13 and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. Faith and Works Ro 3:28 For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law. 2 Co 1:24 Not that we lord it over your faith, but we work with you for your joy, for you stand firm in your faith. Col 2:12 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love. having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead. 1 Th 1:3 remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Th 1:11 To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, Work(s) [General] Ro 2:6 Ro 2:15 Ro 3:20 Ro 3:27 Ro 3:28 Ro 4:2 Ro 4:4 Ro 4:5 Ro 4:6 Ro 7:5 Ro 8:28 He will render to each one according to his works: They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin. Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By a law of works? No, but by the law of faith. For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law. For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness, just as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God counts righteousness apart from works: For while we were living in the flesh, our sinful passions, aroused by the law, were at work in our members to bear fruit for death. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Ro 9:11 Ro 9:32 Ro 11:6 Ro 13:12 Ro 14:20 Ro 15:17 Ro 15:23 Ro 16:3 Ro 16:6 Ro 16:9 Ro 16:12 Ro 16:21 though they were not yet born and had done nothing either good or bad in order that God s purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of him who calls Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were based on works. They have stumbled over the stumbling stone, But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace. The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. Do not, for the sake of food, destroy the work of God. Everything is indeed clean, but it is wrong for anyone to make another stumble by what he eats. In Christ Jesus, then, I have reason to be proud of my work for God. But now, since I no longer have any room for work in these regions, and since I have longed for many years to come to you, Greet Prisca and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, Greet Mary, who has worked hard for you. Greet Urbanus, our fellow worker in Christ, and my beloved Stachys. Greet those workers in the Lord, Tryphaena and Tryphosa. Greet the beloved Persis, who has worked hard in the Lord. Timothy, my fellow worker, greets you; so do Lucius and Jason and Sosipater, my kinsmen. 1 Co 3:9 For we are God s fellow workers. You are God s field, God s building. 1 Co 3:13 each one s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. 1 Co 3:14 If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. 1 Co 3:15 If anyone s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire. 1 Co 4:12 and we labor, working with our own hands. When reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we endure; 1 Co 9:1 Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are not you my workmanship in the Lord? 1 Co 9:6 Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to refrain from working for a living? 1 Co 12:10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 1 Co 12:29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 1 Co 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me. 1 Co 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. 1 Co 16:9 for a wide door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.
1 Co 16:10 When Timothy comes, see that you put him at ease among you, for he is doing the work of the Lord, as I am. 1 Co 16:16 be subject to such as these, and to every fellow worker and laborer. 2 Co 1:24 Not that we lord it over your faith, but we work with you for your joy, for you stand firm in your faith. 2 Co 4:12 So death is at work in us, but life in you. 2 Co 6:1 Working together with him, then, we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain. 2 Co 8:10 And in this matter I give my judgment: this benefits you, who a year ago started not only to do this work but also to desire to do it. 2 Co 8:23 As for Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker for your benefit. And as for our brothers, they are messengers of the churches, the glory of Christ. 2 Co 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. 2 Co 10:16 so that we may preach the gospel in lands beyond you, without boasting of work already done in another s area of influence. 2 Co 11:12 And what I am doing I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. 2 Co 11:13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 2 Co 12:12 The signs of a true apostle were performed among you with utmost patience, with signs and wonders and mighty works. Ga 2:8 Ga 2:16 Ga 3:2 Ga 3:5 Ga 3:10 Ga 5:19 Ga 6:4 Eph 1:11 Eph 1:19 (for he who worked through Peter for his apostolic ministry to the circumcised worked also through me for mine to the Gentiles), yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified. Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith? Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love. Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor. In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might
Eph 1:20 Eph 2:2 Eph 2:9 Eph 2:10 Eph 3:7 Eph 3:20 Eph 4:12 Eph 4:16 Eph 4:28 Eph 5:11 Php 1:6 Php 2:12 Php 2:13 Php 2:25 Php 2:30 Php 4:3 Col 1:10 Col 1:29 Col 2:12 Col 3:23 Col 4:11 Col 4:13 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God s grace, which was given me by the working of his power. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. I have thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus my brother and fellow worker and fellow soldier, and your messenger and minister to my need, for he nearly died for the work of Christ, risking his life to complete what was lacking in your service to me. Yes, I ask you also, true companion, help these women, who have labored side by side with me in the gospel together with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life. so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me. having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, and Jesus who is called Justus. These are the only men of the circumcision among my fellow workers for the kingdom of God, and they have been a comfort to me. For I bear him witness that he has worked hard for you and for those in Laodicea and in Hierapolis.
1 Th 1:3 remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Th 2:9 For you remember, brothers, our labor and toil: we worked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, while we proclaimed to you the gospel of God. 1 Th 2:13 And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers. 1 Th 4:11 and to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, 1 Th 5:13 and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. 2 Th 1:11 To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, 2 Th 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. 2 Th 2:17 comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word. 2 Th 3:8 nor did we eat anyone s bread without paying for it, but with toil and labor we worked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you. 2 Th 3:10 For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. 2 Th 3:11 For we hear that some among you walk in idleness, not busy at work, but busybodies. 2 Th 3:12 Now such persons we command and encourage in the Lord Jesus Christ to do their work quietly and to earn their own living. 1 Ti 2:10 but with what is proper for women who profess godliness with good works. 1 Ti 5:10 and having a reputation for good works: if she has brought up children, has shown hospitality, has washed the feet of the saints, has cared for the afflicted, and has devoted herself to every good work. 1 Ti 5:25 So also good works are conspicuous, and even those that are not cannot remain hidden. 1 Ti 6:18 They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, 2 Ti 1:9 who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, 2 Ti 2:6 It is the hard-working farmer who ought to have the first share of the crops. 2 Ti 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 2 Ti 2:21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work. 2 Ti 3:17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
