Feasibility Study Findings FUNDRAISING GOALS 5. To complete this far-reaching mission for rebuilding our Church, we would like to raise $2,000,000 for the complejon of this project. A. Are you in favor of a capital campaign to help meet this financial commitment? No 15% 2% Yes 83% 13
5. To complete this far-reaching mission for rebuilding our Church, we would like to raise $2,000,000 for the complejon of this project. B. Do you think this is a realisjc goal considering gibs can be pledged over 3 to 5 years? 2% 8% No 22% Yes 68% 6. Would you consider taking a volunteer leadership posijon? 2% Yes 14% No 83% 14
7. There is no avenue of communicajon more effecjve than one-on-one solicitajon. Would you volunteer to solicit pledges from your fellow parishioners? Yes 13% 2% No 84% 9. Do you know of others who might consider taking a leadership posijon or visijng others for our capital campaign? 8% Yes 3% No 88% 15
9. Do you feel there are sufficient volunteer workers and leaders involved with St. Pius Tenth Church to successfully mount a capital campaign? 4% No 1 8% Yes 78% 10. Would you consider making a gib to the capital campaign? The contribujon or pledge is payable over the next three to five years. 12% No 29% Yes 59% 16
14. Mindful of other personal and parish financial challenges, are there any reasons we should not undertake a capital campaign at this Jme? 9% Yes 12% No 79% Fundraising Goals Summary The first fundraising quesjon (#5) asked if respondents would be in favor of a $2M capital campaign, where the overwhelming majority responded yes (83%). The last fundraising quesjon (#13) asks if there are any reasons why a capital campaign should not be pursued, to which a similar majority responded no (68%). This correlajon indicates that at the onset and at the conclusion of fundraising quesjons, respondents feel strongly that a capital campaign can and should be pursued. 17
Fundraising Goals Summary The majority (68%) of respondents felt that the goal of $2M is realisjc with pledges between 3-5 years. We also see that this can-do antude is reflected in the willingness of parishioners to volunteer: 91 parishioners indicajng they would be willing to take a leadership role. 80 willing to visit fellow parishioners. 22 suggesjng that they might know others suitable for leadership. And most posijvely, 491 (77%) believing that there are sufficient volunteer workers to successfully mount a capital campaign. Fundraising Goals Summary Regarding a financial commitment to the campaign, 59% of respondents indicated that they would be willing to pledge to the campaign while only 29% of respondents indicated that they would not make a pledge. Some of those who said no to a financial commitment may consider a smaller one Jme gib rather than a pledge. 5 of parishioners indicated they would be willing to make a pledge between $1,500 and 10,000. The remaining 5 of parishioners indicated they would be willing to pledge to an amount other than what was listed, or an unspecified amount. 18
Fundraising Goals Summary Group Total Interview gib totals (18 families) $450,000 - $750,000 Survey gib totals (316 respondents 49%) $918,000 Total pledges and gibs $1,368,000 - $1,668,000 (69% - 84% from 334 families) Feasibility Study Findings SUMMARY 19
Summary Opinions and evaluajons of the parish overall are quite posijve. Parishioners feel that St. Pius Tenth is the right Spiritual home for them and are very opjmisjc for the future of the Church. The majority of interviewees felt that there was an intense spirit of resiliency since the fire. There are overwhelming feelings of admirajon and love for Father Paul Bonacci. Summary The majority (87%) of respondents felt strongly that they want to rebuild the Church building. Many respondents (6) feel that the appearance of the Church as Catholic is essenjal. Other strong voices felt that comfort and convenience are essenjal (56%); audio visual components are essenjal (43%); Worship aspects are essenjal (43%); and that a Master Plan is essenjal (54%). It is clear that parishioners of St. Pius Tenth view the needs of the parish wholisjcally. 20
Summary St. Pius Tenth can confidently pursue a capital campaign with a goal of $2M, with a stretch goal between $2.5M and $2.75M knowing that between one quarter and one third of that $2M goal can be achieved from 18 families interviewed. In our wriqen findings we will also include that $918,000 was surfaced from respondent parishioners from the in-pew surveys during this snapshot in Jme. This total is highly likely to increase as more informajon becomes available about the construcjon programs. Cathedral will prepare final wriqen findings to Father Paul Bonacci and the Campaign Chairpeople with a recommended distribujon plan. 21
