2 Heritage I invite you to taste and see God at work in our community at RTS Orlando. We are guided by a rich inheritance of history and theology, and this treasury implores us to responsibly and humbly challenge ourselves with new questions the church faces. This is Semper Reformanda. It shapes our identity and informs our task. Sola Scriptura The Living, Incarnate Word gave us His inerrant truth as an authoritative and fixed point of reference. This is both anchor and inspiration for our movement to transform hearts and minds. Transformation The Reformation fathers desired transformation in the church and culture but sought it fervently in their own hearts first. We want to follow in the paths they laid. Our educational methodology innovates to maximize your opportunities: block scheduling, intensives in Summer/Winter, distance learning and extension sites. We combine all of this with agility to empower you for your calling to kingdom expansion. Dialogue We anchor ourselves in the Reformed Tradition. We also eagerly affirm the community of all believers, listening to the best that other traditions have to offer. 4 Faculty At RTS Orlando, our faculty lead the way in discerning and following God s voice. They utilize their gifts to help you find yours. Missional Faculty set the example for our community by engaging in the kingdom mission whether it is training church planters across multiple cultures or binding up the broken-hearted, shepherding the flock in local congregations, or preaching the gospel around the globe. Wise Steeped in Scripture and empowered by God s Spirit, faculty transmit a wealth of experience, knowledge and love-in-action by offering seasoned pastoral know-how, biblical wisdom meditations, fi rst-hand experiences of the global church, and the scars that all tested leaders bear. Scholarly With fi rst-rate academic pedigrees and publications, our professors move at the forefront of thoughtful Christianity. Alumni from Oxford, Cambridge, The Free University of Amsterdam, Princeton, Harvard and Yale instruct students. They consistently produce top-shelf commentaries, theological and historical treatises, cultural analyses and serious works for the Church. Compelling Faculty members make it their goal to capture students hearts and lead them into kingdom action. 5 Community Life Who you learn with affects how you learn, from faculty to fellow students to the people next door. Life on Campus Both faculty and student relationships form the core of our campus environment. Besides classes, we offer weekly worship and fellowship via chapel and lunches on the back porch. Our Spiritual Life Retreat refreshes and expands our hearts. Community service binds us to each other and to those God loves. Wives and female students get connected and equipped through Women in Ministry. Our calendar is accented by casual events: seasonal picnics, Christmas parties, coffee houses and more. Life in Orlando Our kingdom vision finds local expression in the greater Orlando community.
