DAY 21 04/11/ Prayer and Fasting Crusade Message of 4th November 2018 THEODORE ANDOSEH
1 If you have prepared a thanksgiving, stand up and thank the Lord. Alleluia! Who has a testimony and has a gift to speak briefly? NEW LIFE STYLE Today we must finish the teaching on the follow-up of the young believers so that we can start the establishment of young churches. Conversion comes with life style changes. In the follow-up of young believers, we have to come down to life style changing. All conversion, all repentance that does not involve a life change is counterfeit. Ephesians 4: So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18 They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 19 Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more. 20 You, however, did not come to know Christ that way. 21 Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. 25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 26 In your anger do not sin : Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold. 28 He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need. Ephesians 5: For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4: 1-12
2 1 Finally, brothers, we instructed you how-to live-in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more. 2 For you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus. 3 It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable, 5 not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God; 6 and that in this matter no one should wrong his brother or take advantage of him. The Lord will punish men for all such sins, as we have already told you and warned you. 7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. 8 Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit. 9 Now about brotherly love we do not need to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other. 10 And in fact, you do love all the brothers throughout Macedonia. Yet we urge you, brothers, to do so more and more. 11 Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, 12 so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody. Moral seeds will bear moral fruits. So, if you find out that what brother Zach has taught us about uprooting idols, it is for your good, do it so that you will be well, so that you will not extinguish in your leadership, because what you leave, it will bear fruits in you and it will even bear fruits in your children. God even says in exodus that he is the god who judges the iniquity of the fathers on their children to the third and fourth generations. So, our moral actions and vices impacts till our fourth generation. Please, God has blessed our ministry with light, god has given us many things that we don't understand why he has given them to us, it is for our good. Joab was killed for killing Abner and Amasa after 45 years. 45 years and the blood guilt for his youth still had to be paid. Let's not joke. There are too many rothers who ae jus light hearted, they are not planning to be leaders, they are not thinking ahead. They think if just finishes here, as long as you can have your way. No, it is not the case. Are you going to build a team? Are you going to have people follow you when you have nothing to bribe them? Will they follow? It will be spiritual, as you did for another. So, if you don't have a moral foundation, maybe you will always need t look for money to bribe people, but if you want commitment, loyalty from the heart, the one that God gives, you will be careful with your life. 2 Thessalonians 2: 6-15
3 6 In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers, to keep away from every brother who is idle and does not live according to the teaching you received from us. 7 For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you, 8 nor did we eat anyone's food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you. 9 We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to make ourselves a model for you to follow. 10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat." 11 We hear that some among you are idle. They are not busy; they are busybodies. 12 Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the bread they eat. 13 And as for you, brothers, never tire of doing what is right. 14 If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take special note of him. Do not associate with him, in order that he may feel ashamed. 15 Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother. There must be life style changing. In the follow-up of Paul, there was a great emphasis on life style changes, on reformation of life. Paul says unbelievers have their way of thinking, we ae not to continue that way. When people believe, form a life of having secrets, in the Lord Jesus, you can longer live in darkness, you must be known. If you hold back truth with somebody should know in order to relate to you correctly, you live in darkness. I am beginning to see a lot of worldly wisdom and manipulations. Paul says we behaved towards you with sincerity, we did not use worldly wisdom, we acted with sincerity, let love be true without dissimulation. I am beginning to be troubled by the things that are being practiced here in Koumé by co-workers. People come inside with good heart then they begin to make claims. You thing
4 you have gotten us? Yes, you have, but you have forgotten God. So, people simulate services, loyalty, commitment, when all that they are looking is to be accepted, and a place, and a place to be moved forward. What for? Is there not a God in heaven? Will he not reward each one accordion to his work? Does it all end here on earth? You are mistaken. If your service is not true, repent of your hypocrisy. If your commitment was not true, repent of your hypocrisy. If your loyalty is not sincere, repent; why make another person trusts you and then you believe that inside you, you can start changing? Have your forgotten that there is a God in heaven? In Christ, we don't do that. If you ae serving somebody and you have ambitions to climb and your service is just a ladder service to climb, God is. We have taught so much how spiritual it is to service, how good it is to be loyal, now people practice service without service, simulate, carry people's name without loyalty.
If you offend somebody, don't keep quiet hoping that the person will forget. But the harm it will do to you will be beyond measure. we are to teach the young believer the pathway of continuous communion: short accounts with God and constant repeated contacts; retreats for spiritual progress, then you can leave him, because you have connected him to the indwelling Christ. The Lord will hold him through his conscience.
