Obviously we s Christins believe tht it is God who gives mening to our lives, for we were creted to be in communion with Him. Thus trgedy of mn s fll into sin is tht his fellowship with God ws broken, nd beuty of cross is tht through Jesus scrifice mn s reltionship with God is restored. And so in n ultimte nd eternl sense mening in life is only to be found in God. Tht being sid, re is still Biblicl truth in Brené Brown s words, for God PASTOR JOHN STENNFELD Pstor, Christ Lurn Church creted us to live in communion with ors lso. The very nture of love itself is tht it must be given nd shred, which implies someone to give it to nd shre it with. The nture of Old Testment children of Isrel, of New Testment church, of Lord s Supper, of worship, of fellowship, nd of service is tied up with connection to nd communion with ors. The word Koinoni, which we trnslte fellowship, etymologiclly mens to hve things in common with ors, which is essence of community, which is ll bout connection. Here n we see importnce of ttending Sundy worship for life nd growth of Christin. It is t nd in worship tht we find mening, s we re connected to God nd to church through common experiences of worship - pryer, prise, proclmtion, nd reception of Word, nd most importntly through reception of Holy Communion. If connection is wht gives mening to our lives, n it stnds to reson tht Christins would live most meningful lives possible. For through scrifice of Jesus nd through work of His Spirit, He hs connected us, in love, to Himself nd to ors.
