Letter from the Director Jesus said, Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Here at Calvary Chapel Bible College Tri-Cities it is our goal to aid you in fulfilling Jesus command to make disciples of all nations by giving you the tools and knowledge to teach others what it means to be a born again believer of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Whether you desire to attain our Associates of Theology Degree or simply want to go deeper in your own personal study of Scripture, CCBC Tri-Cities is a great resource for you to achieve those goals. I personally want to welcome you to our school and pray that your walk with the Lord will grow stronger and deeper as a result of your time here. God Bless, Kyle Skinner Director Calvary Chapel Bible College Tri-Cities - 2 -

We desire to see you grow in love for your fellow Christians as a marker of your salvation. Finally, we will focus on instruction and retention of the Bible. We desire to see you to read and study through the entire Bible. We desire to see you grasp and understand main themes and the doctrine contained within the Bible. 6 Statement of Faith WE BELIEVE that there is one living and true GOD, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all. (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:8 and 48:16; Matthew 28:19-20; John 10:30; Hebrews 1:3). WE BELIEVE that the SCRIPTURES of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired without error in the original manuscripts, and the infallible rule of faith and practice. The Word of God is the foundation upon which this church operates and is the basis by which this church is governed. The New King James Version will be the literal Bible translation used to interpret any issue related to doctrine and our Statement of Faith. (Isaiah 28:13; Nehemiah 8:8; John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; 1 Peter 1:23-25; 2 Peter 1:3-4 and 1:21). WE BELIEVE in GOD THE FATHER, an infinite, eternal, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. (Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalms 90:2; Psalms 102:27; John 3:16 and 4:24; 1 Timothy 1:17; Titus 1:3). WE BELIEVE in THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, Only begotten Son of the Father, God the Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings, His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and personal, visible return to earth. (Isaiah 7:14; Micah 5:2; Matthew 1:23; Mark 16:19; Luke 1:34-35; John 1:1-2, 8:58 and 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 1:8; 1 John 1:2; Revelation 1:8). WE BELIEVE in GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT, Who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ; (Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 3:18; John 16:8-11; Romans 8:26 and 15:13,16; Hebrews 9:14). WE BELIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT INDWELLS every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. (John 6:13, 14:16-17 and 16:8-11; Romans 8:26). WE BELIEVE that all PEOPLE are sinners by nature and choice and, therefore, are under condemnation; that God regenerates by the Holy Spirit, those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord; that Jesus Christ baptizes the seeking believer with the Holy Spirit and power for service, often subsequent to regeneration. (Acts 8:15-17; Ephesians 2:1-3 and 8-9; Romans 3:23 and 5:8; Titus 3:5). WE BELIEVE in the universal CHURCH, the living spiritual body, of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 4:15-16). WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two ORDINANCES to the Church: 1) baptism, and 2) the Lord's Supper. We believe in baptism by immersion and communion open to all believers. (Matthew 28:19; Luke 22:19-20; Acts 2:38; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26) WE ALSO BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ validated the ordinance of marriage. (Matthew 19:4-5 and John 2:1-11). WE BELIEVE in a literal Heaven and a literal Hell and that all those who place their faith, hope and trust in Jesus Christ will spend eternity in Heaven with the Lord, while those who reject Jesus free gift of - 5 -

salvation will spend eternity separated from the Lord. (Psalm 9:17; Matthew 5:3, 5:22, 18:9 and 5:31-34; Mark 9:42-49; Luke 12:5; John 3:18; Hebrews 12:23; 1 Peter 1:4; Revelation 14:10-11 and 20:11-15). Statement on Marriage, Gender and Sexuality WE BELIEVE in the biblical account of creation and God as the Creator. We believe that God creates each man and woman and that He created them with the immutable and unchangeable nature of male and female to reflect the image and nature of God. Rejection of one s biological and God given sex is sin and is a rejection of the image of God within that person. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason homosexuality, and all other sexual preferences or orientations are unnatural, sinful, and unacceptable to God. Accordingly, this ministry will not perform any marriage ceremonies between two individuals of the same sex. It will not condone or recognize such same-sex marriages, civil unions, or domestic partnerships even if laws are passed that provide for recognition of such unions. WE BELIEVE that the term marriage has only one meaning: the uniting of one biological man and one biological woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture (Genesis 2:18-25). We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (1 Corinthians 6:18; 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4). WE BELIEVE that any form of sexual immorality is sinful and offensive to God (Matthew 15:18-20; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10): and that legitimate biblical sexual relations are exercised solely within marriage. Therefore, sexual activities such as, but not limited to, adultery, fornication, pre-marital sex, incest, polygamy, homosexuality, transgenderism, bisexuality, cross-dressing, pedophilia and bestiality are inconsistent with the teachings of the Bible and the Church. Further, lascivious behavior, the creation, viewing and/or distribution of pornography and efforts to alter one s physical gender or gender related appearance are incompatible with a true biblical witness. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; John 4:16-18; Romans 1:18-32; I Corinthians 5:11, 6:9-11, 6:18-20, 7:1-3 and 7:8-9; Galatians 5:19-21; Ephesians 5:3-7; 1 Timothy 1:9-11). WE BELIEVE that in order to preserve the function and integrity of Calvary Chapel of Tri-cities as the local Body of Christ, and to provide a biblical role model to our Calvary Chapel of Tri-cities congregants and community, it is imperative that members of the Board of Directors, all persons employed by Calvary Chapel of Tri-cities in any capacity, or those who serve as volunteers, agree to and abide by this Statement on Marriage, Gender and Sexuality. (Matt. 5:16; Phil 2:14-16; 1 Thess. 5:22). WE BELIEVE that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. (Acts 3:19-21; Rom. 10:9-10; 1 Cor. 6:9-11). WE BELIEVE that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect and dignity. (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31) Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the beliefs and doctrines of Calvary Chapel of Tri-cities. However, our compassion for a person struggling with sin should not be mistaken for approval of such sin. WE BELIEVE in what is termed "THE APOSTLES' CREED" as embodying fundamental facts of Christian faith

Academic Policies Attendance Policy Attendance is very important at CCBC Tri-Cities because of the volumes of material covered in each class. If a student is absent for any class for any reason, excused or unexcused, it is the students responsibility to make sure that any assignments, or quizzes, or tests are turned in, made up (if possible), or supplemented. Students are responsible to acquire notes or any given assignments for any class missed, whether excused or unexcused. Students are allowed one unexcused absence per class, per semester, before it affects their grade. Each additional unexcused absence will result in a one-increment grade drop per incident. Note: Any assignment, test, or quiz missed because of an unexcused absence will be given a zero unless permitted to be made up by the teacher. Teachers are not obligated to allow make-ups, or accept assignments from students because of absence or tardiness beyond the Late Homework Policy. The following reasons will typically result in excused absences: 1. Sickness or medical problems that prevent the student from being able to attend class. This includes medical appointments that cannot be rescheduled. If a student is ill, the absence will be excused, due to the importance of getting rest when ill and avoiding the spread of germs. 2. Events involving the student s family or close friends that clearly require him/her to be present are normally limited to medical emergencies, funerals, baptisms, and weddings. The following reasons will not result in excused absences: 1. Problems with transportation to class. 2. Mission trips. (CCBC Tri-Cities normally sets aside a special week during the Spring semester for mission trips to be scheduled without conflicting with the schedule of classes. See the current Academic Calendar for details.) 3. Voluntary commitments that conflict with the class schedule. We understand that sometimes circumstances come up that the student may feel are more urgent than attending class on a given day. Students need to be on time for class. This means that if a class is scheduled to start at 2:00, the student has arrived and is seated before 2:00. A student is counted as tardy (late) for a class when he/she arrives within 15 minutes after the class is scheduled to begin. A student s grade will be reduced by oneincrement for every 2 tardies. If a student arrives more than 15 minutes after a class is scheduled to begin, he/she is counted as absent. Note: If an instructor arrives more than 15 minutes after a class is scheduled to begin and class has not begun, students are free to leave without being counted as absent. Late Homework Policy As a student it is your responsibility to turn in your assignments complete and on time. If for some reason you turn in your assignment late the following scale of penalty will be applied: 1 day late: 75% of actual grade 2 days late: 50% of actual grade More than two days: 0% for that assignment

Grading System At CCBC Tri-Cities we use both letter grades and grade points that count toward a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA). This standard grading system makes it easier for our students to transfer credits from CCBC to other academic institutions, and applies uniformly to all courses. Included in the criteria for grading is attendance, reading assignments, tests, and papers. Letter Grade Percentage Grade Points (per credit) Explanation A Excellent A Excellent B Good B Good B Good C Satisfactory C Satisfactory C Lowest passing grade D Unsatisfactory D Unsatisfactory D Unsatisfactory F 59 or below 0.0 Failure P - - Pass W - - Withdrawal UW Unauthorized Withdrawal I - - Incomplete Other grades issued: "W" is an official withdrawal given after the first six weeks of school for medical or emergency withdrawals only. "UW" is an unofficial withdrawal given when a student registers but discontinues class attendance without official notification. "P" for students who receive higher than an "F" in a course in which they registered on a Pass/Fail basis. Grade of "W" does not affect the student's GPA. "UW" is calculated the same as an "F" for GPA purposes. Grades of Incomplete are seldom given and only when severe illness or family emergencies prevent the student from finishing the semester. In the event that an Incomplete grade(s) is given, student will have until the end of the following semester to work with the Administration to develop a plan to finish the course(s). If a student is unsatisfied with a final grade and believes that an error has occurred in the calculation of a grade, he/she may submit a written request for a grade change to the administrative office within 90 days after receiving a grade report. The administrative office will review the grade and if there is sufficient evidence showing that the grade was inaccurate, it will be corrected. Students are responsible to keep all graded assignments and exams. These items will be necessary whenever a request for a grade change is filed

Withdrawal Procedure Students desiring to withdraw from school must meet with the Dean of Men or Dean of Women. The student is then responsible to complete the Withdrawal Form and return it to the Dean of Men or Dean of Women. If a student withdraws for any reason after the Withdrawal Deadline (see the Academic Calendar) he/she will receive an Unofficial Withdrawal (UW) for the semester. This calculates as an F, affecting the student s grade point average. Withdrawals due to illness or emergencies as approved by the Registrar will result in an Official Withdrawal (W) that will not affect the student s grade point average. Adding or Dropping a Class Because of the pace and volume of material covered in each class, a student may only add a class through the second week of classes. To add a class, a student must submit an Add Class Form to the administrative office for approval. A student is permitted to drop a class through the sixth week of classes. To drop a class a student must submit a Drop Class Form to the administrative office for approval. A refund may be given through the fifth week of classes. Please see Financial Information. It is the student s responsibility to submit an Add/Drop Class Form to the administrative office for approval before a student will start receiving credit for or cease being responsible for a class. If a student waits until after the second week to officially add a class, he/she will not receive credit for that class. If a student waits until after the sixth week to drop a class, the Withdrawal Procedure will then apply. Student Evaluations In order to provide a healthy learning environment and prevent procrastination, CCBC Tri-Cities requires student evaluations for each teacher at the midpoint of the semester. You can expect these evaluations to deal with the quality, timeliness, and attentiveness in your classes. Two weeks after completion these evaluations will be available for the student to read. If necessary, the administration staff will talk to students who are behind or delinquent in their classes, and may even institute probationary contracts in some extreme cases. Outstanding Homework Any homework that has not been turned in, but may still be accepted by the teacher, will be due the last day of classes for the semester. Cell Phone Policy Due to continual issues with cell phone usage, especially texting, CCBC Tri-Cities requires cell phones to be turned off during class. Teachers may enforce these Cell Phone Disciplinary Measures: 1st Offense: Warning (turn cell phone off) 2nd Offense: Removal of cell phone during class; speak with teacher after class 3rd Offense: Student asked to leave class (the teacher will inform the administrative staff if this becomes necessary) (Protocol may vary between classes and teachers but this is the CCBC Tri-Cities official policy)

Academic Integrity Policy (Source: Azusa Pacific University) Calvary Chapel Bible College Tri-Cities places a large emphasis on academic excellence as well as moral integrity. Together they combine to craft a character that will not only retain or regurgitate information but can creatively convey and uniquely integrate it into their life. As an image bearer of God, this ability to uniquely create stands out among the creation. Therefore, a breach of academic integrity is viewed not merely as a private matter between the student and teacher, but rather as an act fundamentally inconsistent with the purpose and mission of CCBC Tri-Cities. Violation of the Academic Integrity Policy may result in suspension or dismissal. 1. A student's submitted work (exam, papers, homework and public speaking assignments) must be his or her own. 2. All work submitted for credit, including exams, is accepted as a student's own work, unless otherwise understood and approved by the teacher. 3. A student may not, without proper citation and approval of the teacher, submit work that has been copied, wholly or partially, from another student's paper, notebook, or exam. Nor may students, without proper citation, submit work which has been copied, wholly or partially, from a book, article, essay, newspaper, the Internet or any other written, printed, or media source, whether or not the material in question is copyrighted. 4. Written work that paraphrased any written or printed media material without acknowledgement may not be submitted for credit. Ideas from books and essays may be incorporated in a student's work as starting points, governing issues, illustrations, and the like, but in each case the source must be cited. Students need to cite all printed and Internet sources. 5. Students may not submit any work for credit that has been used to fulfill the requirements of another course previously taken or currently in progress at this or any other institution without obtaining the teacher's permission. 6. Students must be aware that violations are not limited to the actions prohibited in the guidelines above. Any kind of dishonesty related to academics is a violation. Other examples of academic dishonesty, apart from giving or receiving unauthorized aid as described by the teacher in each course, include but are not limited to false reasons for taking a make-up exam, falsifying data, concealing information about a known violation that would impact students negatively, and misrepresenting oneself as being cleared to participate in commencement. Academic Probation If in any semester a student receives a failing grade (F) in two or more classes the student will be placed on academic probation. (CCBC Tri-Cities reserves the right to place other students on academic probation if they have demonstrated the inability to keep up with the course work or are otherwise negligent of their studies) A student who is placed on academic probation is required to fulfill a written contract which mandates that a student must fill out a weekly progress report for each class they are taking, requiring each teacher to initial each week showing that the student is caught up on their work. The student must then check into the administration office with their progress report every week otherwise further consequences as outlined in the contract (usually suspension or dismissal) will be taken. Any student on probation cannot enroll in more than 19 credits for the semester they are on probation. Orientation Orientation requirements are met for any student who attends the Retreat before the semester starts. The retreat is required for fulltime and on campus students but not for part-time students. Any student who does not attend the Retreat must complete orientation requirements before the semester begins. Times for completion of orientation material can be set up with the administrative office

Enrollment Verification Enrollment verification letters are available from the Registrar s Office upon request. Any student, who needs an enrollment verification letter or form completed for any reason prior to registration, must pay a non-refundable bed deposit before verification of their enrollment will be released. Repeating a Course Courses may not be repeated for credit unless they are attendance-based, on campus requirements or if the course has not been completed with a satisfactory grade (C- or above). Graduation Tracking All students are responsible for tracking their graduation progress regardless of the Campus or Campuses attended. Students should check regularly with their teacher s concerning missing assignments and absences. All graded homework should be saved, both for future reference and as proof in the event of a clerical error in grading

Student Life Once you have been accepted to Calvary Chapel Bible College Tri-Cities you can expect to become a part of the 26-year ministry of Calvary Chapel of the Tri-Cities. Calvary Chapel Bible College Tri-Cities is a part of a living, breathing, fully functional church body made up of all ages. Weekly over 1000 adults actively worship and call this church home. Currently Calvary Chapel Bible College Tri-Cities is housed at the Calvary Chapel of the Tri-Cities campus in Kennewick, Washington. CCBC Tri-Cities holds this close relationship with Calvary Chapel of the Tri-Cities as a distinction in their education and will always maintain a close relationship with Calvary Chapel of the Tri-Cities, both its staff and its congregants, as long as it is an institution. What to Expect As a new student to Calvary Chapel Bible College Tri-Cities you can expect our teachers and staff to instruct you according to the vision of this school. Remember, our main purpose is to train students to grow in relationship with God and his church. Therefore, we expect you to follow Jesus in life and grow closer and more like him. This may mean laying aside things you feel are necessary, or humbling yourself when you may not be wrong, but we know that Jesus Christ calls us all to follow him if we are to be his disciples. We also expect you to accept uncomfortable situations where serving in a church or organization may not be preferred or ideal. But, realizing that having a giving attitude versus a taking attitude is the very nature of Jesus, a servant. Finally we expect you to try hard academically. CCBC Tri-Cities provides a challenging atmosphere that may seem overwhelming or discouraging at times, but we have found that those who persevere and put forth effort academically reap significant growth. New Students What to bring: A good study Bible is an essential. A New King James Version, the New American Standard Bible, or the English Standard Version is ideal. If you have a few Bible study resources such as a concordance, Bible dictionary, or Bible software, bring those too. If possible, bring a laptop computer with the ability to run Bible study software. If you are not able to bring a laptop, be sure to bring an MP3 player with earphones for listening to the Bible Survey Tracks, which are provided to students. Your passport, for any trips out of the country, especially during Spring semester Missions Week. Code of Conduct The following behavior is deemed unacceptable for Calvary Chapel Bible College Tri-Cities students and may result in suspension or immediate dismissal: Use of illegal drugs, or abuse of legal drugs (Galatians 5:19-21) Any type of sexual immorality (Galatians 5:19) Cheating on tests or plagiarizing papers (1 Corinthians 6:8) Stealing or borrowing without permission (Ephesians 4:28) Violence of any kind, including threats of violence and vulgar language (Romans 1:29-30) Discrimination, general harassment, or sexual harassment (Romans 13:8) Heretical departure from the CCBC Tri-Cities Doctrinal Statement of Faith (Philippians 1:27)

Ignoring or breaking any law of the State of Washington or of the United States of America (Romans 13:1, 2) Damaging CCBC Tri-Cities property. Students are to take good care of the CCBC Tri-Cities facilities. Any person who carelessly damages CCBC Tri-Cities property will be required to pay for the damages. This policy also applies to the property of Calvary Chapel of the Tri-Cities Church, which shares the classrooms with CCBC Tri-Cities. Disciplinary Policy In addition to suspension for academic reasons, students may be required to withdraw from CCBC Tri- Cities when their behavior and attitude are inconsistent with the standards and basic purpose of the College. Such withdrawals may be for a specific time during which the students have time to evaluate their personal goals and relationship to the College. In some cases, pastoral counseling and a letter of recommendation from a pastor are required for re-admission. The Dean of Men and the Dean of Women serve as the administrators of the policies of the College and adjudicators in disciplinary matters. For infractions of laws, regulations, policies, and standards, students may be subject to disciplinary action up to and including dismissal from the institution. Such disciplinary action may be imposed for violations that occur off campus when the violation may have an adverse effect on the educational mission of the College and/or students of the College. When the administrative staff of CCBC Tri-Cities must address matters of student conduct requiring discipline, it is done with the goal of restoration. Disciplinary measures are to be taken if a student is repeatedly breaking outlined rules, abusing himself or other students, displaying divisive behavior and/or attitude, or perpetrating harmful doctrine which divides the body. This policy contains three steps of disciplinary measures, to be taken in order, and to be made by a CCBC Tri-Cities administrative staff member. Students may appeal administrative decisions in writing. Step 1: Confrontation on a level of friendship and personal interest. This confrontation should be made alone and in private (Matthew 18:15). If the staff member deems it necessary, a written explanation of the incident may be added to the student's file discussing the situation. Step 2: Confrontation with two or more (Matthew 18:16-17). The CCBC Tri-Cities Director and the Dean of Men or Women must be present. Before meeting, the staff member will draw up an outline of what is expected and what the disciplinary action will be if the expectations are not fulfilled. A signed and dated copy of the outline will be added to the student's file. Step 3: If Step 2 expectations are not fulfilled, disciplinary actions will be carried out. In most cases, this will be dismissal from school (Titus 3:10-11). At the meeting, the CCBC Tri-Cities Director and the Dean of Men or Women must be present. A letter explaining the situation in detail will be added to the student's file. Depending on the severity of the issue, the student may or may not be allowed to apply for re-enrollment in future semesters. Visitors Calvary Chapel Bible College Tri-Cities welcomes visitors who wish to view the campus. Informative tours of the campus and classroom visits can be arranged by calling the Administrative Office at
