3 #1: We enter into His presence through the Son by the Spirit Ephesians 2:18 for through Him [Christ] we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. Worship Through the Son We need the mediation of the Son because of our spiritual condition We are ignorant of God (Matthew 11:27; John 1:18) We are alienated from God (Ephesians 2:3) We are unable to return to God (John 14:6) We need the mediation of the Son because He alone is sufficiently qualified being fully God and fully man Our mediator who died for us is fully man without sin (Hebrews 4:15; 7:19, 25-28; 9:14; 10:19, 20; 1 Peter 3:18; 1 John 2:1, 2; 2 Corinthians 5:21) Our mediator is fully God (Hebrews 1:3)

5 Worship through the Son by the Spirit and the Grace of the Father The giving of the Son as our Mediator is a sign of the love of God Romans 5:8 1 John 4:9, 10 The giving of the Holy Spirit to unite us to Christ is a sign of the love of God Romans 5:5 Galatians 3:5

9 The Spirit helps us to pray (Romans 8:26, 27; Ephesians 6:18; Jude 1:20) to persevere (Romans 15:13; Galatians 5:5; Ephesians 3:16; 1 Thessalonians 1:6; 2 Timothy 1:14) to bear fruit (Romans 8:2, 4, 5, 6, 9, 11, 13, 14; Galatians 5:16, 18, 22, 25) to make our service acceptable to God (Romans 15:16) to make known the things of God to us (1 Corinthians 2:12, 13) to impart and exercise spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12:7) to unite us to one another in love (Ephesians 4:3, 5; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Philippians 2:1; Colossians 1:8) to receive and affirm truth (1 Thessalonians 4:8; 2 Thessalonians 2:13?) to worship (Philippians 3:3)
