Our Parish provides housing, meals and fellowship to homeless mothers and their children for two weeks, from June 19th to July 1st. The Ascension of Our Lord, which celebrates the day on which the risen Christ, in the sight of His apostles, ascended bodily into Heaven and is a moveable feast. Charity is the first principal of the order. We are in charge of the 5k4kids annual charity run among numerous charitable activities. Parents are the first and most important teachers in the faith to their children. PREP joins with parents in a team effort for the fullness of information and formation in the faith. Preparation for First Eucharist (Holy Communion) and /or Confirmation is a two year program with foundation the first year and sacrament reception the second year. For information and registration please contact the PREP Office at. Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) : Adults who are considering a journey in faith with Baptism (if not already), First Eucharist (Holy Communion), and Confirmation in the Catholic Church are welcome to join others. The RCIA is the way inquirers to discover the treasure of the faith as well as for others to explore the beauties of the faith. This group is in the process of forming and will have initial, informal beginning sessions through the summer. The formal sessions will begin in September. The applicant must be a well-rounded mature and responsible person who has the ability to work well with all ages of children. Hours of work are from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. daily (Mon. to Fri.) and the job requirement is to ensure the safety of the aftercare students and to help with their homework and general caregiving.
