1 Evangelist Jared Williams Doctrinal Statement The following is why I believe what I believe regarding the following: The Word of God: 1. Penmanship: The Bible was written by men of God who were inspired by God and it is the written word of God. (II Tim. 3:16) 2. Purpose: The Purpose of the Bible is for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. (II Tim. 3:16-17) 3. Preservation: God promised to preserve the Word of God to all generations and the King James Version is the word of God for English speaking people. (Ps. 12:7) Salvation: 1. Regeneration: a new birth (Jn. 1:12-13; 3:1-8) 2. Repentance: sinner turning from sin (Lk. 5:32; II Pet. 3:9) 3. Faith toward God: sinner turning to God (Eph. 2:8) -apart from works (Eph. 2:9) Justification: -First of all, we are not justified by our own merit but Christ s. 1. We are forgiven for our sins because of what Jesus has done (Acts 13:38-39) 2. We are righteous in the sight of God because of Christ. (Rom. 4:2-3)
2 Sanctification: -being set apart for God 1. Sanctification is gradual and not sudden. (Rom. 8:28-29) 2. Our position in Jesus is that we are sanctified because of what Christ has already done. (Heb. 10:9-10) 3. We will not be completely sanctified until the rapture. (I Cor. 15:51-52) The Deity of Christ: (John 1:1-15) 1. The Word was in the beginning with God. (vs. 1) 2. The Word was God. (vs. 1) 3. In him (the Word) was life. (vs. 4) 4. The life was the light of men. (vs. 4) 5. John came to bear witness of that light. (vs. 7) 6. John was the forerunner for Christ. (vs. 15) 7. Therefore, Jesus is the light, life, the Word, and God.
3 The Blood of Christ: A. It is powerful 1. The blood is what makes atonement for our souls. (Lev. 17:11) -It is the life of the flesh 2. The blood is how our sins are forgiven. (Heb. 9:22) 3. The blood is how Christ entered heaven. (Heb. 9:12) 4. The blood is what saves. (John 6:54) There is power in the blood! B. It is precious. (I Pet. 1:19) C. It is provisional. (it was provided as a (the) sacrifice for our sins) 1. The blood is what is given for the remission of our sins. (Matt. 26:28) 2. The blood is what God accepted in the Old Testament for each person s sins. (Gen. 4:1-6) The Resurrection of Christ 1. Christ completely physically died on the cross when he gave up the ghost (he was not in a deep sleep) -Mk. 15:37, 39; Lk. 23:46; Jn. 19:30 2. Christ literally, not figuratively, rose from the dead and was seen by hundreds before the ascension. Acts 1:3 3. The resurrection shows the power of Christ and that he is God in the flesh Rom 1:4; Ph. 3:10

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. Jn. 12:32 -The point is, majoring on election only results in lifting up man. Christ must be lifted up and NOT us!
