A Word from Father Fearless Faith! Boundless Love! Revival in the Episcopal Church! Who d a thunk such a bold and wonderful thing could happen! Welcome to the Jesus Movement! Presiding Bishop Michael Curry and Rev. Canon Stephanie Spellers, the Presiding Bishop s Canon for Evangelism, Reconciliation and Stewardship of Creation are currently working with six dioceses to sponsor multiday events featuring dynamic worship and preaching, offerings from local artists and musicians, personal testimony and storytelling, topical speakers, invitation to local social action, engagement with young leaders, and intentional outreach with people who aren t active in a faith community. One of the venues will be Camp Honey Creek in the Diocese of Georgia, just off I-95, just south of Brunswick. Registration is $8 on the Diocese of Georgia s website and if you are interested, please register early!. The Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, the Most Rev. Michael Curry, is traveling throughout the U.S. and beyond offering a series of revivals. The Diocese of Georgia will host Revival: Fearless Faith, Boundless Love on Sunday, September 17, If you would like to go, please register soon online at The revival begins with fellowship at 2 PM followed by worship at 3. The distance is right at120 miles and will take a little over two hours to drive. For those wanting to go, attending the 8:30 service at Trinity should allow ample time for travel and lunch. This is a Big Tent revival outdoors! Dress appropriately, September can be hot. Bugs are unpredictable, so take a mosquito spray. Arriving by 2 PM should give you a chance greet and meet and find a decent seat. You may even have time to walk down to the river and look out over the golden marshes of Glynn. How can I serve, what can I do to be more active in supporting Trinity? Actually, there is a whole new movement for trained, equipped, licensed Lay Ministries coming onboard in the Diocese, especially in the smaller parishes here in Putnam County. Trinity needs Ushers and Greeters and Eucharistic Ministers, as well as volunteers for Altar Guild. An Acolyte or two would be really appreciated. On Saturday, July 22, Eucharistic Visitor Training will be held at St. Andrews in Interlachen. The training is from 10 AM to 2 PM with lunch provided (a basket will be put out for donations to cover the food). Who should attend? If you are interested in becoming a Eucharistic Visitor, you will be trained and licensed to take communion to members who can t come to church. Current Eucharistic Visitors - if your current license is set to expire before January 1, 2018, bring your card/license with you for renewal. Revival! Pretty scary stuff! None of us likes change we like routine and consequently, we tend to get in a rut. Revival is an opportunity to renew the Holy Spirit within us, to give our lives back to the Lord and let his healing, forgiving, power transform us. It s through the power of revival that we discover the truth of God s word, that we CAN do all things through Christ who strengthens us. It took four months to assemble the 151-foot-tall statue, which was shipped from Paris in hundreds of pieces. While the statue was intended to commemorate America's centennial, it was not formally dedicated until 10 years after the fact, when President Grover Cleveland held a Statue of Liberty ceremony on October 28, In other 1884 news, miners in Swan City, Colo., blew up their local post office on Independence Day because the town did not supply them with fireworks. So, the question: If it took four months to build the Statue of Liberty, how long did it take to put the post office back together again:! Eat Like You're Sick to Stay Well! HEALTH SHORTS Jeanne Eaton Daniel Thomas - chef - says if everyone ate like they have diabetes, more people may stay "borderline" diabetic. Such great advice! Those of us in the health profession of diabetes know that "borderline" has been replaced by the word "pre-diabetes", because if the person given this diagnosis doesn't get religion about exercise and vegetables and weight loss, they will get diabetes! Here are some tips Mr Thomas recommends - (1) Don't eat after 7 pm. (2) Keep nuts in your glove compartment. I personally love this one! (3)Avoid the noodles in chicken soup. Use quinoa or barley instead. (4) Don't eat the bottom bun of your burger. Add all available vegetables. (5) Choose mashed avocado over mayonaise for healthy fat, fiber and vitamins.

The name of the movie is usually published in Colossians two weeks prior to it s showing. If there is something in particular you would like to see, let us know in the office and we ll try to arrange it. We try to show movies with only a G, PG, or PG13 rating so that the movies will be available for all ages.

7 COMMUNICATION At Trinity we very often have many events and activities going on and the most important ways we communicate the information about these to one another is through word of mouth and announcements at church on Sunday mornings, and through our weekly Colossians newsletter and the monthly newsletter, the Trinity Bell. If your group or committee is planning something they would like to have everyone know about and/or participate in, please let the office know through a phone call, or directly to Fr. Tony or Linda. Sometimes, in a hurried situation, you may only have time to give us the facts or a brief outline. We are always happy to help fill in the gaps if needed, and can usually make an article out of just the date, time and name of the event. If you have news of plans for the coming months, announcements, or reports, or would just like to write an article for the Bell, the deadline is the 15th of the prior month. Communication is what helps us work and play together and we re always delighted to see new things each month. If you have something you d like to see on our pages or ideas for new columns, please get in touch with Linda or Father Tony. Recently Jeanne Homany thought an article on health issues would be a good thing to have in the Bell, and it s turned out to be a great success and appreciated by many.
