5 St Andrew s Parish Church Lent : A Time for Reflection On this first week of Lent our prayers, Heavenly Father are more meaningful than ever. We thank you for the time Jesus spent in the wilderness giving us our own forty days to pray, read and reflect We know you do not expect us to spend time in the wilderness fasting but this is a time that can be special with your help and guidance. We pray that we can conduct a self examination and look honestly at ourselves and see where we lack Christian virtues, values and principals. Our prayers are intense Merciful Redeemer and we ask that the Holy Spirit may enter our hearts and will live with us during our forty days. In great humility we set out to emulate our dear saviours days of meditation and worth, all in anticipation of the Glorious Easter message. Marion Gebbie 17 February
