4 Units of Study SCHOOL OF KINGDOM MINISTRY Do you want to be trained and equipped to do the works of the Kingdom? Do you want to heal the sick, cast out demons, raise the dead, and bring others into an encounter with the love of the Father? The Kingdom ministry of Christ sets the compass for Christian ministry both in and out of the church. The goal of kingdom ministry is to bring people into a direct personal encounter with the truth, the power and the love of Christ. Throughout this school, we will explore the seven pillars of Kingdom ministry, the journey of the Church into the fullness of Kingdom ministry and the mandate of the church to host the glory of God. School of Kingdom Ministry I Seven Pillars of Jesus Ministry (KM101) This subject is a detailed exploration of the seven pillars of Jesus Kingdom ministry. These pillars are the Gospel ministry, the prophetic ministry, ministry to the brokenhearted, deliverance ministry, the ministry of healing, ministry to the poor, and the proclamation of the year of the Lord s favour. 5 SCHOOL OF CULTURAL STUDIES Do you want to impact the culture of your family, your workplace and your city? Do you want to be equipped with the tools to change culture? Do you want to communicate Kingdom truths in ways that are culturally relevant? This school trains followers of Christ to become students of culture. The church is the cultural incarnation of the Kingdom on earth. Without a value on culture, the church has often been content to acknowledge the theological truths of scripture without witnessing transformation in our wider communities. Our desire is to produce the transformative culture of the Kingdom to impact our cities and regions. School of Cultural Studies I Counter-Cultural Discipleship (CS101) Throughout this subject we explore the basics of culture both within the church and broader western culture. We look at the discipleship mandate as a counter-cultural movement away from the culture of the world and into the culture of heaven. This subject also doubles as an orientation unit to the values and culture of Naioth College and the church community. (22 supervised hours CMTMIN502A Communicate theology in a clear form) Taught over Semester 1, Lecture Slot B. School of Cultural Studies II Reaching Postmodern Culture (CS201) This subject explores contemporary western culture to frame an understanding of the nature of ministry in the west. Building on CS101, this subject will also explore models of New Age apologetics and train students in ministry models that are appropriate for a culture where New Age beliefs are the primary spirituality. (22 supervised hours CMTMIN502A Communicate theology in a clear form) Taught over Semester 1, Lecture Slot D. School of Cultural Studies III Cultural Architects (CS202) This subject will look at the role of the church in engaging wider culture through justice and missions. The justice of heaven is directed towards transforming culture to liberate the oppressed. We will also look at the centrality of honor in our missional culture to edify and protect the uniqueness and redemptive gift of every tribe and nation while drawing them to the culture of the Kingdom. (22 supervised hours CMTMIN502A Communicate theology in a clear form) Taught over Semester 2, Lecture Slot D. Page 5

6 SCHOOL OF TRANSFORMATION Do you want to embark on a transformative heart journey? Do you want to see yourself as heaven does? Do you want to be trained in the tools of transformation? This school trains students to see each other and themselves as heaven does. It will empower students with the New Testament worldview on the transformative journey of the Christian. From this foundation we can explore the different aspects of personal transformation and the wisdom of heaven to fully heal and restore us. School of Transformation I The New Creation Miracle (TR101) The transformative journey is the journey to be conformed into the likeness of Jesus and it begins with recognising that we are a New Creation in Christ Jesus. This subject is a detailed exploration of Paul s New Creation theology in light of the redeeming work of Christ and is an essential foundation to understanding the New Testament paradigm for transformation. (22 supervised hours CMTMIN501A Relate theological ideas to the Christian way of life, CMTTHE503A Research and analyse information within a theological theme or issue) Taught over Semester 1, Lecture Slot C. School of Transformation II The Heart Journey (TR102) Building on the foundation of New Creation understanding this subject explores the journey of our heart to see this reality expressed in our life. Every believer is invited on the heart journey to see Christ revealed within us. This subject is a detailed exploration of the different areas of transformation the heart journey invites us into. (22 supervised hours CMTMIN501A Relate theological ideas to the Christian way of life, CMTTHE503A Research and analyse information within a theological theme or issue) Taught over Semester 2, Lecture Slot C. School of Transformation III Tools of Transformation (TR202) This subject is a detailed exploration of the tools of transformation hinted at throughout the New Testament to empower the journey of the Christian. Building on the foundation laid in TR101 and TR102, the focus is on creating a clear theological foundation for the practical use of these tools. (22 supervised hours CMTMIN501A Relate theological ideas to the Christian way of life, CMTTHE503A Research and analyse information within a theological theme or issue) Taught over Semester 1, Lecture Slot F. 7 SCHOOL OF BIBLICAL STUDIES Do you want to be equipped with a holistic view of theology? Do you want to know the history of Christianity from creation to the present? Do you want to be equipped with the tools of interpretation? This school is a series of surveys that in combination seeks to lay a strong foundation for biblical history and theology. Particular focus is given to the theology of the Kingdom, foreshadowed in the Old Covenant and revealed in the New. Biblical Studies I Old Testament Survey (BS101) This subject is a survey of Old Testament history from creation until the restoration of the second temple. It explores the journey of Israel and the role of prophetic literature in shaping Israel s experience of God. Biblical Studies II New Testament Survey (BS102) This subject is a detailed survey of the New Testament beginning with the Birth of Christ and concluding with the book of Revelation. It will also briefly explore the historical proofs for the existence of Christ and a brief overview of Christian apologetics. This subject will also build on the foundation of biblical hermeneutics and proper interpretation of scripture explored in BS101. (22 supervised hours CMTTHE502A Analyse and interpret theological data) Taught over Semester 2, Lecture Slot A. Biblical Studies III Survey of Christian History (BS201) This subject is a survey of Christianity since the end of the New Testament. It is a detailed yet broadranging journey through the varied expressions of Christianity that have risen and declined throughout the past two millennia. This subject pays extra attention to the hidden movement of Christian mysticism in the Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches and the relevance of these mystics to our present experience of God. (22 supervised hours CMTTHE503A Research and analyse information within a theological theme or issue) Taught over Semester 2, Lecture Slot F. Page 7

8 SCHOOL OF INTERCESSION & EVANGELISM Do you want to learn the practical skills of effective prayer? Do you want to be trained in power evangelism? Do you want to see the Kingdom practically affect the streets of your community? The School of Intercession and Evangelism is an intensely practical course that explores different aspects of prayer and street evangelism each week. It provides an opportunity for students to engage and be activated in a safe but challenging workshop setting. Workshops on intercession will focus on equipping students with the tools and worldview for a powerful and sustained personal and corporate prayer life. Workshops on evangelism train and equip students in a holistic paradigm of the church s evangelistic ministry to the world. This is a highly practical school and will focus on building key skills in the target areas. School of Intercession and Evangelism I (IE101) This subject lays the foundational principles for intercession and evangelism. As this school requires significant steps of risk for each student we create a safe and encouraging environment where every attempt is celebrated regardless of outcome. This subject will also include workshops on practical skills training for major cross-cultural evangelism outreaches outside of normal class hours. (45 supervised hours CMTTHE504A Identify new theological information) Taught over Semester 1, School of Intercession and Evangelism II (IE102) This subject builds on the principles of intercession and evangelism and provides marginally more challenging environments to grow students in their skills. (45 supervised hours CMTTHE504A Identify new theological information) Prophetic School III: Mystical School (PR201) The purpose of this school is to explore the deeper levels of the prophetic and the wells that have been dug by the mystics. Throughout church history men and women have purposed their hearts to encounter God tangibly and deepen their experience of His love for them. Mystics live passionate and single-minded lifestyles in pursuit of the heart of God, seeking to explore the reality of His union with them in the new birth and His indwelling presence. In this day and age God is restoring the mystical lifestyle to the church within the context and safeguard of family and community. (45 supervised hours CMTTHE504A Identify new theological information) Prophetic School IV: Worship School (PR202) The purpose of this school is to deepen and enrich you in your experience of worship. Our worship opens a gateway through which the Kingdom and Presence of God comes in power into our lives and into the world around us. Scripture paints a number of pictures of different ways we can engage God in worship. When we step away from fear and towards childlikeness and freedom of expression, we are able to enjoy God in a new way, free to be ourselves in His presence. In this school you will grow in your understanding of what God accomplishes in and through us when we worship. (45 supervised hours CMTTHE504A Identify new theological information) Page 9
