12 THE DARK FRIDAY SKY WAS OVERCOME BY SONLIGHT SUNDAY Matt. 28:1 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. 2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. 5 The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. 21 GOD S ETERNAL PLAN AND PURPOSE HAD THEIR FULFILLMENT AT THE CROSS With JESUS DEATH ON THE CROSS THE PENALTY WAS PAID FOR OUR SINS! THIS IS THE GOOD NEWS OF SALVATION OFFERED IN CHRIST JESUS TO YOU RIGHT NOW! IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED HIS GIFT OF REDEEMPTION, WON T YOU DO IT TODAY? 21

22 I Peter 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade-- kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 22
