I received them in my envelope packet but I m not sure what they are going to do with my donation. Can you enlighten me? A. Here is an example of two (2) upcoming collections and what your contribution will do: 1) Sunday, March 31st - The Catholic Relief Services Collection provides funds for relief for Natural Disasters, the office of International Justice and Peace, Migration and Refugee Services, Pastoral Care for Immigrants and Refugees, relief work of Our Holy Father, Pope Francis and the Catholic Legal Immigration Network. 2) Sunday April 28th - Catholic Home Missions Collection strengthens the missionary work right here in the USA by funding a wide range of pastoral services including evangelization, religious education, the maintenance of mission parishes, the training of seminarians and lay ministers and missionary ethnic groups. As a side note, if you do not receive envelopes and are interested in using our envelope system, please fill out the registration form on page 8 of this bulletin and we will have our envelope company mail you a packet at their next distribution period. An incentive to using our envelope system is so that you can receive a tax statement at the end of the year. Hope this information is helpful to you. 5 Page 5 Third Sunday of Lent March 24, 2019 Mercy God is mercy. That seems to be the main message of the reading from Exodus. God has seen the suffering of the Israelites and promises mercy and rescue. From then on, God is to be known as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Vocation Thought I AM has sent me to you. Could the Lord be calling you to proclaim His name as a priest, deacon or in the consecrated life? If the Lord is truly calling you, what is needed is trust. To help in your discernment, you are invited to call the rectory ( ) and speak with one of the parish priests or you can call the Vocation Office at Come no nearer! Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground. Paul calls his readers to continue to grow in the faith. The God who rescued Israel also rescues them. As beneficiaries of God s mercy, Christians must keep on working, doing their part to become ever more trusting and loving people of God. The Gospel s second section is a homey story about God s mercy. Against the advice of the land owner, the vinedresser pleads for mercy, and shows mercy, to allow the poor fig tree yet another year to become productive. Stewardship Thought Good stewards realize that, like the fig tree, they are endowed with God-given gifts that are meant to bear fruit for God and neighbor. God has legitimate expectations of them. They also realize they do not know how much time they have left before the gardener returns for an accounting of their fruitfulness. How are we using our God-given gifts? How might we use our gifts to bear more fruit? The answer requires some urgency.

In order to receive a Sacrament - must have at least two years of formation. When are classes held?: All classes are held on SUNDAY MORNING BEGINNING AT 8:30 A.M. in the School Building and conclude WITH THE 10:00 a.m. MASS in Church. We invite parents to join us for the Mass. It will be a Family Mass with children and parents involved in the Sunday Liturgy. Children will be dismissed from Church. When can I register my child(ren)?: You can come to register or re-register in the Faith Formation Office located in the St. Kevin Catholic Academy building (Room 208).
