1 Notes used in the Message A Study on the Book of Revelations Pt.46 (Soul- The Theophany) - Samuel Dale REVELATION 1:1-3» 1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:» 2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.» 3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. REVELATION 6:9-11» 9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:» 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?» 11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. HEBREWS 4:12» 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 1A) E HEBREWS.CHAPTER.SIX.2_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN HEB SUNDAY_ «262 Now listen close as we read. Now he said:... leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on to perfection; Now, we got that this morning, how that we are perfected. Perfected, absolutely spotless and blameless, not one sin on us. Are you above temptation? Never. Do you sin every day? Yes, sir. But, yet, we are perfected because we are in Him. And God could no more judge us than nothing (couldn't be righteous), He's already judged us in Him. When He judged Christ: He judged me, He judged you. And He can't judge me again, because He took my judgment if I've been redeemed. 264 And I got a ticket to show that I've redeemed my watch from the pawn shop, let somebody try to take it back in the pawn shop once, when I've got a ticket. I have redeemed it. 1B) THE.FIFTH.SEAL_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN FRIDAY_ «218 Now, for they at this time, if you notice, this Fifth Seal being opened (See?), the Church is gone. It just can't be the souls under--the--the early church. Now, now, please, if you ever did give this attention now, 'cause this is a great controversy, so I want you to listen real close now. And you've got your papers and things to write with. Now, I want you to notice. Now, these cannot be them souls, because the--the souls of the--of the righteous martyred and the righteous people, the Church, the Bride, has done been took up; so they wouldn't be under the altar. They'd be in glory with the Bride. Now, watch. For they are gone in the rapture in the 4th chapter of Revelations; they was taken up. Now, who are these souls then? See? That's the next thing. Who are they then, if they are not the early church? This is Israel that's to be saved as a nation, all them that are predestinated. That's Israel. That's Israel itself. You say, "Oh, wait a minute." You say, "They can't..."

2 1C) THE.FIFTH.SEAL_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN FRIDAY_ «252 Yes, they held for the Word of God. They were Jews. They had their law, they stayed with it. You remember last night now? They stayed with that. And they were Jews, and had the law, and the Law was the Word of God. They stayed right by it. That's right. And for the testimony they held, they were martyred, and here was souls under the altar, after the Church had been gone. «253 Now, watch. They had in their blindness martyred their Messiah, and now they were reaping for it. They realized it. They recognized after it was gone on. They seen then when they come before the altar of God. But now the grace of God is to them. Now, watch. Now, they could not, by no means, be saints, 'cause they would already be robed, but here they are now, just souls under the altar for the Word of God and the testimony they held for being God's people, the Jews. But now, watch. The grace of God comes to them, and Jesus gives them each one a white robe (Watch.) plumb over after the Church is gone, because they were loyal to their cause, and they were blinded, and they didn't know it. They didn't know it. They were playing exactly the part that God had ordained for them to play. And here--here, John looks over and sees souls under the altar. Now, watch. He sees those souls. Watch what he calls them. They cry, "Lord, how long?" Watch. "Just a little while longer." See? (Let's get that as we go down right through the Scripture.) 2) FAITH_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN SUNDAY_ «5 Now, each one of you have power the same way, because you are sons and daughters of God. And the very Spirit that's in you this morning, the Holy Spirit that's in you this morning, that same Holy Spirit will raise you up. So you have power to raise yourself back up. When you die, your soul will go into to--the--under the altar of God, not in... right in the presence of God. Now, your spirit will go to God, but you cannot come back. You remember in the Bible it said the spirit--the souls under the altar crying, "Lord, how long, how long?" They could not return until the Scripture's fulfilled. And like Christ could not return till the Scripture's fulfilled. Then after the--all has been done, all the suffering's over, and the brethren has suffered the same things, where we've suffered like they suffered and so forth... Then on that day you'll know exactly where you're buried. Your spirit will be turned loose from God and will come to the soul. «7 Now, the soul is that part of you who knows and understands, your intelligence. You remember the vision I had not long ago, or the little translation and went into that place and saw those people? Now, your spirit will come back to that body, and that--that kind of a body, the soul, which is a body that does not have to eat and so forth. "If this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting," a celestial body. And with that spirit, and that soul, and celestial body, you'll raise up again this natural body for that great Millennium. See? You have the power in you now to do that. Now, but that power that you have in you now could make a new world. God doesn't have little weak spots and big heavy spots that's powerful. The least little touch of God is omnipotent. See? The least little touch of God... So you know... So I'm trying to get you in the faith now. 3) II CORINTHIANS 4:1» 1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; II CORINTHIANS 4:2» 2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. II CORINTHIANS 4:3» 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: II CORINTHIANS 4:4» 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

3 4) B TRYING.TO.DO.GOD.A.SERVICE.WITHOUT.IT.BEING.GOD'S.WILL «228 You see a tree struggling trying to live, that means there's a tree that don't die. You see a man struggling for life, it shows that there is a tabernacle waiting somewhere that don't die. "If this earthly tabernacle be dissolved we have one already waiting." The good Heavenly Father permitted me to walk behind that curtain one day and see it. How many heard the...?... See? Looking a-pass the curtain of time. There it was just the same as I'm preaching to you all, there they stood. Souls under the altar crying, "How long?" Not just a myth, somebody who had intelligence: "How long, Lord?" See? While we feel that now, as our age, like Brother Bill Dauch setting here at ninety-three. There's something longing for that young man again. There's something... You'd give anything. How I'd like to. Brother Jack, and all the rest of us. Go back, Brother Gerholtzer, in here, into that young manhood. What do you want to do it for? To be young and run around again? No, sir! Because we feel we'd have more time to glorify this God that we love. 5) M GOD'S.ONLY.PROVIDED.PLACE.OF.WORSHIP_ SHREVEPORT.LA V-7 N-4 SUNDAY_ «24 And Heaven... or this place, wherever it was, I don't know what to call it. He referred to it there as "souls under the altar." But when it was, I have never... There's no way to explain how great that is. There is... Now, you just have to take my word, I'm just a man. See? But these visions that's always come to pass just as I have told you, and you know they every one has been true, that is true also. Whatever you do, if you miss everything else (health, strength, your eyesight, whatever it is), don't miss That. There's nothing can compare with it. It's... There's no--there's no word in the English language, that I know, that could express it. If you'd say "perfect," it's beyond that; "superb," it--it's beyond that; "sublime,"... There's no--there's no words that I know that could express it, because it was so... And then, to think, that isn't the end of it yet. I thought, "Me be afraid to come to this?" 25 I said, "Do you eat?" 26 Said, "Not here. We don't eat here, but when we go back to earth we'll receive a body we eat in." 6) THINGS.THAT.ARE.TO.BE_ RIALTO.CA V-4 N-6 SUNDAY_ «127 And they picked me up. These brothers set me up on a place. I said, "Why'd you do this?" He said, "In earth you was a leader." And said--and said, "You... These are the people." 128 And there was some woman come up. She said, "Our precious brother." Most beautiful woman! When she passed by, this Voice stopped, said, "Don't you remember her?" I said, "No." Said, "You led her to Christ when she was past ninety. See? Can't you see why she says 'precious brother'?" I said, "Well, do--do you go..." Said, "No. We're waiting here." I said, "Well, if I've passed over, I want to see Jesus." Said, "You can't see Him now. This is the Scripture, said, 'Souls under the altar.' He's just a little higher. Someday He will return. We're go back to earth. We don't eat or drink here." 7) THE.FIFTH.SEAL_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN FRIDAY_ «407 Why, it isn't perfect; it's beyond perfect. It's not sublime; it's beyond sublime. There's no name can, you can't think... There ain't no word or the vocabulary to say it. You've just arrived; that's all. And I thought, "Well, this--this would be perfect. And then, what are we going to do next?" He said, "Then when Jesus comes, then we're... And He judges you for your ministry, then we go back to earth and take up bodies." (Well, I--I thought about it then; that's exactly the Scripture.) Said, "Then we go back to earth and take up bodies; then we eat. We don't eat here, neither do we sleep." Said, "We eat down there. But we go back to the earth." 8) EZEKIEL 18:4» 4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

4 9) A DEMONOLOGY.PHYSICAL.REALM_ CONNERSVILLE.IN DE MONDAY_ «27 But your souls were made up before the foundation of the world when God created man in His Own image: spirit of man; not a man in His Own image, but man in His Own image. See? And then He made them male and female before He ever had a man in the dust of the earth. Wish we had a chance this afternoon to take our time and go back into that, just see how God... Now, it's between the line, but when you see, it comes right up with the line. See? How that God back in the beginning, what He did there, and how He moved down into the earth and how that He made man in His image, and then God turned around and was made in the image of man to redeem man. 10) THE.ENTOMBMENT_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN ER SATURDAY_ «77 Here He goes. Where did He leave when He left? The Bible said, "He ascended. He went and preached to the souls that were in prison, that repented not in the long-suffering of the days of Noah." His soul, His Spirit, His Theophany of His Own Being, went down. Let's follow Him. Would you like tonight to follow Him a few minutes? Let's see where He went. Just below the regions of mortal beings lays the realm of demon power; below that--just above that lays the souls of the unjust; below it lays the very domain of Satan: hell. Then just above us lays the Holy Spirit; then under the Altar lays the souls of the just men; the next is God Himself. One going downward, one going upward; the two spirits are here on earth, influencing the people of this earth. 11) QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS.ON.HEBREWS.2_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN COD WEDNESDAY_ «385 Now, he's speaking of the soul, the spirit. For we pack our bodies over the grave of the saintest of us, for this body. And the body... In the first place, when God, the Logos that went out of God... Or, as I have went through it, the Catholic call It, "the eternal sonship of God."... Which as I have said before, the word doesn't even make sense. See, there cannot be an eternal son, because a son had to have a beginning. And so Jesus had a beginning; God had no beginning. See? But the Son was the... Not eternal sonship, but the Son that was with the Father in the beginning was the Logos that went out of God. And it was the Theophany of God that went out, the human form that didn't have eyes like you see: a better eye. It didn't have ears like you hear, but a far more hearing. See? It was a Theophany, that all this rainbow condescended into a--a Theophany. Moses saw It when It passed through the rock like that. He saw the back parts, said, "It looked like a man." 12) QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS.ON.HEBREWS.2_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN COD WEDNESDAY_ «412 Yes, notice, Now, my Jehovah Witness friend, I'd like to ask you about that. See? If hell is a place... Hades, Sheol, whatever you wish to call it, if that ceases at the grave, then why did He say, "I'll not leave My soul in hell, neither will I suffer Thy holy One to see corruption"? How about that? See? Here His body was in the grave, and his soul was in hell, preaching, alive. What about that? He was in His Theophany again. His soul was down there with those people that were in...?... theophany also, and was witnessing to them that they repented not in the long-suffering. He... In other words, He'd knocked at the door. And when the door swung open, and all those souls that repented, He said, "I'm the Seed of the woman. I'm the One that Enoch here..." Over in paradise, another place... Don't never lose them three places, now: the place of the wicked, the place of the righteous, and hell itself (See?), just like a trinity of heaven: like Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Like the trinity of the beast: the false prophet, the beast, and the--and the mark of the beast... And all that, remember, it's all in trinity. Trinity makes one, perfected. One is perfected. You're perfected, one in three: soul, body, and spirit: water, blood, and nerves. See, whatever you was, you have to take three to make a perfected one. Take a three cornered piece of glass and put the sun on it, you got a perfected rainbow. See, everything, you have to have three to make a perfect one.

5 13) ADOPTION.2_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN AD.2 WEDNESDAY_ «97 And Paul said, "It does not yet appear just exactly what kind of a body we'll have, but we know we'll have a body like His." What? Did He ever have that theophany body? Yes, sir. When He died, the Bible said that, "He," is a personal pronoun again, "He went to hell and preached to the souls in prison." Hallelujah. How did He do it? He had senses of feeling; He had senses of hearing; He had senses of speech; He preached with that same kind of body I saw those glorified ones in the other night. He preached to the souls that were in hell, that repented not in the longsuffering of the days of Noah. But when He rose up on Easter, it was not possible that that Body should see corruption, 'cause David the prophet foresaw it, "I'll not leave His soul in hell, neither will I suffer My holy One to see corruption. Moreover My flesh shall rest in hope, because He will not leave My soul in hell, neither will He leave My holy One see corruption." And on seventy-two hours before corruption could set in, that theophany, that body that went and preached to the souls that were in prison, that repented not in the long-suffering of days of Noah, rose again, and the mortal put on immortality, and He stood and He eat, and He told us that He was a Man. Hallelujah. 14) QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN COD THURSDAY_ «329 When a baby is being--a baby is being formed in a womb of a mother, soon as it's put there... See, see? But first it's a spirit. As that spirit begins to take on flesh, a little germ of life begins to take on flesh, and as soon as it drops from its... Now, in the womb, it's a little, quivering, jerking muscles. We know that. That's cells. Just like you take a horse hair and put it in the water, it'll cap over and it'll move, and you touch it and it'll jump. That's the way a baby is. But as soon as it's borned in this world and breathes its first breath, it becomes a living soul. See? Because as soon as the earthly body is born into the world, there's a celestial body, or a spiritual body, to take a hold of it. And as soon as this natural body is dropped, there is a heavenly tabernacle waiting for it: "If this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, there is a heavenly tabernacle waiting for it." Just as soon as--as the baby's dropped into the earth in flesh, there's a spiritual body waiting to receive it. And as soon as the spiritual body--the natural body is dissolved, there's a spiritual body waiting yonder (See?), a theophany we call it (See?), a theophany. 14 A) ACTS 2:25» 25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:» 26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:» 27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 15) E WHO.IS.THIS.MELCHISEDEC_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN V-5 N-10 SUNDAY_ «78 Then, when a man is born again, from Heaven, he becomes a spirit babe in Christ. And, then, when this robe of flesh is dropped, there is a natural body, theophany, a body not made with hands, neither born of a woman, that we go to. Then that body returns back and picks up the glorified body. That's the reason Jesus went to hell when He died, and preached to the souls that were in prison; turned back into that theophany. Oh, marvelous! Thank God! 79 Second Corinthians 5:1, "If this earthly body be dissolved, this earthly tabernacle, we have another one." See, we have by-passed that, to come straight from God, the attribute; to be flesh, to be tempted and tested by sin, like Adam did. But when testing of His Word is over, then we are taken up to this body that was prepared for us before the foundation of the world. It is the Word there that we skipped, to come right around, down here to be tempted and tested. If we'd have come through that, there'd have been no temptation; we'd a-knowed all things. That's the reason Jesus knowed all things, 'cause He was Word before He was flesh. Then we become the Word. 80 Here we are formed to the Word image, to be a partaker of the Word, feed on the Word, by being predestinated since the beginning; you see that little spark of Life that you had in you from the beginning, when you started your journey. Many of you can remember it. You joined this church and joined that church, you'd try this and that; nothing satisfied. That's right. But one day you just recognized It. Right.

6 16) ISRAEL.AND.THE.CHURCH.1_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN IC 1-34 WEDNESDAY_ «94 Now, here He comes, torn, riven, tore to pieces. His soul went to God. God blessed Him. And then His soul returned back in the form of the baptism of the Holy Ghost that comes into every believer, to sanctify, clean up the mind, clean up the heart, and leave a portion of the Holy Ghost in there, here and there. And when the Holy Ghost is given out, that same Holy Spirit that brought the Body of Jesus out of the grave, will rapture. And that covenant has to dovetail, as He tore there and gave the Body; went back to God, and the Spirit came back to the earth. Then your Spirit will have to be the same kind of Spirit, or it'll miss that place going together. Amen. Yes, sir. Not because you make yourself, but because Something, the love of God has swept into your soul and tore every earthly idol out. There it is. 17) M SOULS.THAT.ARE.IN.PRISON.NOW_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN V-2 N-22 SUNDAY_ «36 Now, the soul of man is not the body of man, it's the soul. See? And the soul is something that's the--the nature of the spirit. And then when the nature of a man... When he said, "We are dead," the Scripture plainly tells us that, "we are dead, and our lives are hid in God through Christ, sealed there by the Holy Spirit." Now, it wasn't that your body died; it wasn't your spirit died. It was the nature of your spirit died; see, the nature, which is the soul. The nature of your soul is--is God, if you're born again. If it's not, it's of the world. Anything that begin has to end, so therefore the only way that you can have Eternal Life is to have a Life that never did begin. And then your life did begin when you were born, when God breathed the breath of life into your nostrils and you became a living soul, then you begin then. But when you... 18) M SOULS.THAT.ARE.IN.PRISON.NOW_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN V-2 N-22 SUNDAY_ «37 That nature that was in you, by nature you was of the world, alienated from God, you were actually an animal. That's exactly right. Anyone knows that we are mammal. How many knows that? We, we are mammal, we are warm-blooded animal, but that is what we are by our earthly creation. But, you see, what made us different from other mammals, that--that God put a soul upon us. See? Now, the other mammals don't have to wear clothes. No other animal has to wear clothes to hide his shame, but us. We're the only ones that does, because we have a soul. But, see, God, in the beginning, knew what a man would be like. And He created the earth, and brought up all kinds of animals, from the very lowest to the highest; and the highest animal come forth, was man. 19) M SOULS.THAT.ARE.IN.PRISON.NOW_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN V-2 N-22 SUNDAY_ «44 But, that soul that's in there, see, that soul is what God is working on, see. If He can only get that nature, that spirit, to agree with Him, then that nature dies, the nature and the love of the world dies, and the things of the world is dead. See? Because, "If you love the world, or the things of the world, the love of God is not in you." See? And a man must be born again. So, this nature has to die, and the nature of God comes and lives in you. And God is the only thing there is that never did begin or never can end.

7 20) HEBREWS.CHAPTER.TWO.3_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN HEB WEDNESDAY_ «278 And now the Logos that went out of God, which was the--the Logos, all this begin to form into a--a body shape. And this body shape was called, in the scholar's teaching, Logos, the Logos that went out of God. In other words, a--a better word for it, was what we call a theophany. (Theophany is a human body that's glorified.) Not exactly with flesh and blood like it will be in its glorified stage, but it is of a form of a human body that doesn't eat, neither does it drink, but it's-- it's a body, a body that's waiting for us as soon as we leave this one. Now, in there, we enter into that body. And that's the kind of body that God was, for He said, "Let us make man in our own image and in our likeness." «279 Now, when man become into that body, he had control of all the fishes, and fowls, and--and beasts of the field. "And then there was no man to till the soil," Genesis 2. He done made male and female, but there's no man to till the soil. Then God made man out of the dust of the earth. He give him a hand like a--like a chimpanzee. He give him a foot like a bear. He give him, He made him, on the image. And this earthly body is in the image of animal life, and it's made out of the same kind of material. Your body is made just the same kind of material as a horse, or a dog, or anything like that. It's made out of calcium, potash, petroleum, cosmic light. You're just no... All flesh like that is not the same flesh; it's different flesh, but it's made out of the dust of the earth where it come from. But, the difference between an animal and a man, God put a soul in a man, and He didn't put it in the animal. Because, the soul that was in the man is that theophany. Oh, I--I, I'll never get to the... this lesson, but I got to get this. 21) M YOU.MUST.BE.BORN.AGAIN_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN V-11 N-5 SUNDAY_ «111 A soul, good or bad, death doesn't change it. I had a lot of Scripture wrote down here on this one that I wanted to comment on, what a soul is. What is a soul? It's you. You are a soul, the part inside of you. And when you die, ever what shape that soul's in, that's the way it goes. It goes to its destination. You couldn't pull it up no matter how much you'd do for it; that soul's got to be changed here, born again. 22) THE.UNCERTAIN.SOUND_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN V-26 N-19 SUNDAY_ «64 As I was saying a few days ago, either here or somewhere, speaking on the lie detector. Now, notice close now. I want you pay close attention. Put a lie detector on you, and you try to impersonate the--that truth, and try to say that it's truth, but down on the inside of you, in the subconscious, lays a place called the soul. And this intellectual mind does not govern that vibration of the system. The mind is only a director. It will direct you, and it's very incapable of bringing you to God: your mind. You cannot know God by your mind, intellectual. It's one of the resources, or the channels that would lead to it, but your soul is what governs you. You are what you are, by your soul. Jesus said to the Pharisee, said, "Why, you hypocrites. How can you speak good things?" When, they was calling Him, "Good Master," and so forth. Said, "Out of the abundance of the heart speaketh the lips. And in your heart you hate Me. And in your lips you call Me, 'Good Master."' He said, "You hypocrites." See, your soul is thinking one thing, and you're speaking with your lips another thing. What a case. What a horrible thing. What a deceitful thing is a hypocrite. For out of their mind they say one thing, when their soul says another thing. 23) THIRSTING.FOR.LIFE_ DALLAS.TX WEDNESDAY_ «E-15 Did ever you read such words? "How my soul longeth for Thee in a thirsty land, where no water is." This is rather an unusual text, but God is unusual; God does unusual things, and He works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform. And we're living in an unusual day and an unusual time, but we're serving the God that's been in all times. And when I thought of this... You know, my soul thirsts for Thee... If your soul is what directs you, it's what makes you what you are. A conversion is... A soul is the nature of the spirit. And when a man is converted, he doesn't get another spirit. He gets a spirit change, a conversion means to change his thinking, change his way of living and so forth. So my soul thirsts for Thee.
