THE PRAYER OF CONFESSION (Unison) Almighty God, we confess that often we miss the life You intend for us, and would give to us. For we close ourselves off from Your saving presence, taking for granted Your gifts of family and friends and the time to.e together for the challenge of work, or for the delight of leisure. We have strived too much for things which cannot give us meaning. We have.een too preoccupied to listen to those around us; our children excited with play, our friends aching with loneliness; our spouses needing to share their lives. Forgive us, Lord, and deliver us from our fear of intimacy and vulnera.ility. Ena.le us to understand what is important and free us to rejoice in the gifts of life You give us; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
