2 MY LIFE-CHANGING ENCOUNTER WITH ARCHBISHOP MARGARET IDAHOSA My Ministry began as a child of necessity in mid June 1986, two years and four months before I got born again, at former Afribank Nigeria PLC., now Mainstreet Bank Ltd, Ring Road branch, Benin-city, Edo State, Nigeria. There was an incident that took place between 1 st and 30 th May 1986 culminating in five bank managers losing their jobs, including the branch Manager, now an Anglican priest and my head of department, whom I foretold problem was coming. It was not a fraud; ancient powers pursuing these managers from their 1

3 respective families made it impossible for the top management of the bank to see things as they really were. It was a normal bank transaction and 1 did my job the way I was supposed to. When trouble was coming, the Lord revealed it to me and I told my head of department but, he waved it off while I went into fasting and prayers. God stopped the management from sacking me and this made the new branch manager believe that God was with me. When this issue came up at the branch, no head of department wanted to work with me again. So, I was sent on a course I was not supposed to attend, for two weeks, where I continued my fasting and prayer. My 2

4 colleagues at the school could not understand why I should fast and pray because the school was a place of rest and enjoyment. As at the time my training was over, the branch manager and all of them who never wanted me in their departments had lost their jobs. Never, will I forget Otunba O.A Ogunyemi, who asked my then area manager, now late Mr. L.K.C. Eze if he (Eze) would have done better if he were in my shoes? Mr. L.K.C. Eze was speechless and every management staff at the head office was on my side. On resumption of duty, after the emergency training, the new branch manager called me to his office and said, "Ronnie, I was told you can pray 3

5 and I have seen the result of that prayer. Every management Staff was on your side. Could you please begin Morning Prayer sessions for all staff, between 7:30AM and 8:00AM? Ask for God's protection so that there would be no more problems in this branch" So, the next day, my ministry began as I started an in house fellowship made compulsory for all staff, irrespective of their religion, although, I was not born again then. In November 1986, I met Rev. (Dr.) M. E. Idahosa, now Archbishop, in my office at the same former Afribank Nigeria PLC. As I was fast tracking her business, she told me that she felt I had a call and counseled me to go to all Nations for 4

6 Christ Bible Institute, International. Well that was not the first time I attended to her. 1 was the cash officer of the branch and I had attended to her and her husband Archbishop (Prof) B.A. Idahosa, (now late), for over two years. I believe it was God's timing. Anyway, three days to this encounter I met someone who told me he had a dream in which he saw me in a Bible school. Since I was an unbeliever I never knew what it meant to be called by God, however, to All Nations for Christ Bible Institute International, 1 went. When I got there, I lied during an interview with the vice-principal, Rev. Daniels that I was born again. I thank God I later got born-again in that Bible 5

7 school, two months to the end of my course. On my graduation day, I was ordained by Archbishop (Prof) B.A. Idahosa. Prior to my attending that Bible school, I was introduced to Church of God Mission International, Incorporated, Mission Road branch at Payne Primary School in the late 1970's by the wife of Rev. (Dr.) J.B.S. Coker, who was my coteacher at Victory Nursery School, Ewah Road, Benin City, where I was pastored by Pastor, now, Bishop Ojo of Calvary Kingdom, Lagos. I stopped attending the church in 1982 because of my tight schedule in the bank, which included working on Sundays, until I got into the Bible School. 6

8 In September 1989, I was transferred to Bright Street Branch of the Bank so, I handed over the Ring Road fellowship to Mr. Alex Ojugbeli, now Rev. (Dr.) Alex Ojugbeli, who was not born again as at that time, Alex got born again in 2004 and currently he is senior Pastor of Living Bread Church, Akeson, Lagos. In 1990, I became the senior pastor of God of All Nations, Onitsha, Nigeria. It was there that the Lord thrust me into ministering healing and deliverance to people, as part of full gospel. I used the word thrust because I had no formal training in ministering deliverance, was never mentored by anyone in deliverance besides, I spent two years at the Bible school and no lecturer 7

9 mentioned deliverance and demons to me. I just began to pray for people, deliverance and healing began to happen to the glory of God. Since I had no prior experience, when people I prayed for fell under the power of Holy Spirit, their relatives took to their heels while I stood watching to see if they were still breathing not too sure of what will happen next. I pastored for ten years and four months, resigned my bank job and went back to school, wrote some books, finally became professor of pastoral care and counseling, then writing more books. Since 1990 till date I have never stopped praying for deliverance and healing for 8

10 people, families and communities. My spiritual background is rooted in the Anglican Church. 9
