2 What Does The Bible MEN S Say About PRAYER? Salvation BREAKFAST Goal : To know Christ as my personal Lord and Savior, and begin the new life of peace and freedom He wants me to enjoy. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A CHRISTIAN? Note: The most basic question a person can ask is What is the meaning of my life? Most people live their entire lives without ever knowing WHY they exist, year after year with no idea why they are alive or God s purposes for their lives.

3 Everyone wants to be MEN S happy. PRAYER People BREAKFAST try many ways: (things) Some look for happiness by acquiring possessions. Some look for happiness by experiencing pleasure. Some look for happiness by gaining prestige and power.

4 *But real happiness MEN S only comes PRAYER from BREAKFAST understanding my. Answer: (PURPOSE IN LIFE) WHY AM I HERE? 1. God made me to LOVE me! (Jeremiah 31:3) 3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee.

5 MEN S PRAYER BREAKFAST 2. We were created to ENJOY a personal relationship with God and to MANAGE all of the rest of God s creation! This makes us special! (Genesis 1:27-28) 27 So God created man in his own IMAGE, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God BLESSED them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and MULTIPLY, and replenish the earth, and SUBDUE it: and have DOMINION over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. (CULTURAL MANDATE)

6 What s the Problem??? MEN S PRAYER BREAKFAST *Man has a natural desire to BE THE BOSS and to ignore God s principles for living. UNGODLY VIEWS OF LIFE... Look out for #1. Do your own thing. If it feels good, do it - regardless of what God says about it. It s my life and I ll do what I please!

7 The Bible Calls this attitude: MEN S PRAYER. BREAKFAST Answer: (SIN) (Isaiah 53:6) 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. **When people have problems they often try many different ways of coping before turning to God. (Alcohol, drugs, busyness, suicide, etc.)

8 (Proverbs 16:25) MEN S PRAYER BREAKFAST 25 There is a way that Seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the Ways of death.

9 *Even when we know MEN S that PRAYER our deepest BREAKFAST need is God, we often try WRONG WAYS of getting to know Him: My mother was a Christian so It doesn t matter what you believe, just be sincere. I ll give up all of my bad habits. I ll work real hard and earn it. I ll be religious and go to church. If I can just be good enough.

11 WHAT S THE SOLUTION MEN S??? PRAYER BREAKFAST Read : John 14:6 Jesus Christ said, I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. No one cometh to the Father, except THROUGH ME. *God Himself came to earth as a human being to bring us back to Himself. If any other way would have worked, Jesus Christ would not have had to come. The way is a person. (Romans 3:23) 23 For all have Sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

13 Jesus has already MEN S PRAYER taken care BREAKFAST of (Romans 6:23) YOUR sin problem! 23 For the Wages of sin is death; but the Gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

14 **God did MEN S this PRAYER for us BREAKFAST because He loves us (Romans 5:8) 8 But God commendeth (PROVED) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ Died for us.

15 MEN S PRAYER BREAKFAST It was through the substitutionary (your substitute) sacrifice of Christ On the cross (the perfect lamb) shedding his blood for all sin. Ephesians 1:7 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Note: That blood cannot forgive sins unless it is applied, (Received, asked for ) Note: God has already done his part to restore our relationship to Him. He took the initiative. (By Christ s death and resurrection) Now He waits for each of us to INDIVIDUALLY accept what He has done for us.

16 *WHAT MUST I DO MEN S TO PRAYER BE SAVED BREAKFAST 1. ADMIT that God has not been first place in your life repent of your sins and ask him to forgive your sins. (I John 1:9) 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

17 2. BELIEVE that MEN S Jesus died PRAYER to pay BREAKFAST for your sins and that He rose again, and is alive today. (Romans 10:9) 9 That if thou shalt Confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt Believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

18 3. ACCEPT God s MEN S free gift PRAYER of salvation. BREAKFAST (Don t try to earn it.) (Ephesians 2:8-9) 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Note: *Our relationship to God is not restored by anything we do, but on what Jesus already did for us!

19 4. INVITE Jesus Christ MEN S to PRAYER come into BREAKFAST your life and be the director ( LORD ) of your life. (John 1:12-13) 12 But as many as Received him, to them gave he power to become the Sons of God, even to them that Believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

20 *All we must do is trust MEN S Him to PRAYER save us! BREAKFAST All of those who believe this are reborn, not physically but spiritually born into God s family. John 3:3 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be Born Again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Revelation 3:20 20 Behold, I Stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

21 *If you have never MEN S received PRAYER Jesus BREAKFAST Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour why not ask Him in today. You can take these steps by praying a simple prayer of commitment to God:

22 *Remember it is not the MEN S words PRAYER we say but BREAKFAST the honesty of our heart. Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for making me and loving me. I realize I need you in my life and I m sorry for my sins and I repent of them. I ask you to forgive me. Thank you for dying on the cross for me. As much as I know how, I want to follow you from now on. Please come into my life and make me a new person inside. I accept your gift of salvation. Please help me to grow now as a Christian.
